Hi Group,

Rockcliff,
I searched for "reset problems" and ger21 had the answer. Set the estop config to active low. That is what I had to do before.
Thanks Rockcliff and ger21 for all the great info in...
Thanks Rockcliff,
I tried downloading again and it worked. Now I am trying to get the "reset" to stop flashing. I just click it on my other computer running a Gecko stepper
machine and it stops...
I am having trouble downloading Mach3. It is an older computer 996mHz. I tried saving to the desktop and the file size is only 254kb which only took a micro second and that seemed odd. That file...
Hi Group,
Is there a way to only show certain feature in Verify and not all that I have created in the feature tree? I would rather not delete the feature just so it doesn't show up.
Thanks,...
Burrman,
I want to thank you again for the tips on machining a single surface in Bobcad.
Anyway, if you have any questions with Solidworks, just ask as I owe you one.
Burrman,
That video was great and exactly the shape I used for my example! I really need to check out all that guys videos. I have only been searching on Bobcad and this guy has good stuff.
...
Thanks Burrman for the info and the file compression tip!
I figured that what you described would be how you would have to do it and I appreciate the concept. In Mastercam you could just pick any...
OK, PDF sent. That is a 1" radius, .375 dia. ball mill and tool tip toolpath. That toolpath needs to go quite a ways past the end of the radius for the ball mill to fully cut the radius surface.
Well, I see that my file didn't get sent. Let's try it again. I just noticed it won't take bobcad files so I need to send a jpeg or ?
Hello Burrman,
Attached (hopefully) is a Bobcad file. That radius is 1". If you can see the toolpath, you can see that the end of the toolpaths near the angled surface don't go far enough so...
Hello All,
I have V23 and want to know if there is a way to machine just one surface of a model and have the ball mill go right to the edge of that surface. Basically having the surface normal go...
Thank you both for the replys!
Maybe I should just unplug the parallel cable to be on the safe side.

Hello Konrad and thanks for the reply.
They said the tool would just scratch the surface and they used an CNC lathe with a standard threading insert, so I assumed it would clear also. I may back...
Hello group,
If I trial run Mach3 with my printer connecter to the parallel port, can I do any damage?
Thanks,
Pat
Hello Group,
I spec'd. out a 7/8-20UNEF male thread on an aluminum part and called out for a Ø.800 ±.005 thread relief groove. The shop doing the work said the groove wasn't small enough for the...
Thank you for the reply,
I guess we need to make sure we have a 4th axis post which I assume we have as we have done some rotary work.
There are many ways to do this job and we even thought...
Hello Group,
I am trying to help our programmer at work on how to generate the g-code to cope the end of a 6" pipe for a "T" joint. We need to roughcut the end on a rotary 1st. The shape of the...
Hello Mariss,
Thank you for the reply and more good info! I already ran the S&D wires with twisted pair, which I will promptly change. Have I done any damage to the G203's with my wrong wiring?...
Hello Dan,
I just hooked up a C1G BOB but I am not using all the features, just signals for the steppers. Yes, change the jumper to pins 2,3 for common ground for the G203's and connect a wire...
Hi Group,
I am using twisted/shielded wire (just what was in the scrap box) for my step and dir connection to my G203's. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? I was going to tie one end of the...
To ger21,
Gerry, I setup a different PS and have 42V going to the driver now and it seems to work OK. I have the mill cycling back and forth checking for missed steps, which now I have seen about...
Thanks for the quick reply Gerry, I have read many of your posts and they have been very helpful.
Yes, I thought the motor should lock up even it the step and dir signals weren't working. Also, the...
Hello Group,
I have an older (2002 model) G201 that is replacing another brand driver, but I can't get it to work.
Here is my setup:
Pentium 33mhZ running MAXNC DLX step and dir version....
