Interesting concept. Rails for the 1.5 series rail can be quite expensive as in my design. What type of material are you planning to use? Material 1/4"?
Decided to implement soft limits on a new build. Programs made with Cut2D won't start when I have soft limits enabled I get a "softlimit warning...continue? yes/no dialog box with a message of Soft...
Just need to fabricate a top for this one. I decided to do a custom layout for a touchscreen on this build. Also decided to use a few more features with Mach3, but I'm having an issue, I'll post...
Here are a few photos of the CnC and a custom screen specifically for a touchscreen. Away with the keyboard and mouse...:)
Hey guys...Frame assembly is nearly complete for the 2nd CnC...I will post photos very soon
Bought some steel track from them in Mid April...took way longer than expected to get the material...almost 2 weeks later I requested to cancel the order a confirmation email was sent that it had...
Hey guys starting my second build I'm needing some advice on round linear rail. First build I used bearing carriers from CnCRouterParts and they worked fantastic, but always has issues with keeping...
On my current machine I use a XL 1/5 .375" poly belts with steel cords...R&P is considerably more cost...Guess I'll be sticking with my current design...:)
Sorry fellas for not posting in awhile. I completed my CnC quite awhile back and have had 0 issues. I'm wanting to build another 2'x4' again and I'm going back and forth between a rack drive system...
I had the same identical steppers on all axis's, 3V 3A. 2 on the X. single on the Y and a obviously a single on the Z...:). The Z locked up because of a bad bearing, so I bought a replacement thats...
I have been using the Cut2D from Vectric for the past couple of weeks. Very easy to use and has alot of features. For the cost I'd recommend it.
I got it from here Link
After 6 months in R&D and almost a year to the day since I started purchase the first parts, I am pocketing my entire table surface with a micro fly cutter. It was only .007" out, so I taking a...
Seasoned Cut2D users...Is there a setting I'm missing...I need to cut on just a straight line, but Cut2D informs me that a straight line is not a vector and will be ignored from the tool path, is...
Before I purchase, I was just wondering what are some opinions of Cut2D??
I have a breathing CNC...:)
It was a machined by a buddy who does it for a living. Still had to pay for the labor though, but at least it was buddy price...:)
If I had to doit again I would use extrusion from Misumi, there...
My bad I thought you were using a parallel port, EPP enables two way communication. TYo my knowledge a serial port already has two communication, but I'll verify that.
Make sure you enable EPP - Enhanced Parallel Port if not already done so.
Total project cost including software, machining costs, and all other related hardware is is topping out around $2200
I really didn't plan a budget...R&D is hard to budget
I should be spinning steppers by the end of next week...:)
The top is elevated on rails, while the polyurathane is drying. I designed 4" of clearance...:)
Got the table top finished this evening and ordered the vacuum blower, should be here end of next week
After much designing and machining cost here is my Z axis assembly
Got the electronics shelf mounted...getting closer
Hmmm that is a coincidence...just like lipo cells for RC...there are like 3 manufactures that supply the world...It wouldn't suoprise me if they make them and white label them for someone...
IC...Is that your original bracket? What's the pitch of that ball screw? 1/2"/rev...
Got a photo of the brackets?
Here's an update on the Y axis...Hope the X goes this well...
