I've also posted this in other area's and was wondering if anyone has any experience in machining D39 powdered metal?
I'm trying to find a comparative material that is in my copy of the Walter CCS...

That is strange but with Spencers post that one day it was fine the next its gone sounds like the licence may have time limits attached to it for the Machine Sim.
My dongle has MS4, MS5X-3/4/5 and...
It sounds to me like some of the SC setup has been corrupted somehow.
If I were having these sorts of problems I’d do a complete uninstall, remove all of the registry keys for that install and when...
So you can’t toggle the Stock or Initial Stock buttons?
Use Helix Ramping and set to your desired diameter.
As for setting your cutter to the outside of your boundary try ticking “Detect Core Areas” in the passes tab. This makes the cutter approach from...
Just a heads up on what I did to fix this problem.
We tried various Haas control software upgrades together with a software/firmware upgrade for the floppy drive.
The combination that worked was...
So any clues how to fix it then?
Cheers
Yep,
Both have HDD's and ethernet connected.
VM3 has M16.02a control software installed in 2009
VF1 has M13.12f installed in 2005.
Both worked perfectly well before we got new computers with...
But that doen't explain why the VF1 is ok and the VM3 not.
Thanks for the suggestion though.
I suspect we have the same HFO. Is it George?
I’ve got to say I’m a bit frustrated that this is still an issue so long after win 7 was released.

Hi, I'm not actually using a program to transfer so can’t use compatibility mode. It's just drag and drop from one HDD to another across a network.
As I mentioned, this works perfectly well on the...
Hey guy’s,
We just moved our PC’s to Windows 7 64bit and had problems getting the communications working to our VM3 (we also have a VF1 but that was fine). After talking to our local HFO guys I...
Hey Matt,
I’ve had success in the past by simply creating a different Target Geometry for each configuration (Targer1, Target2 etc.). That way you use all the same operations, only the actual...
Try using a zig zag if you haven't already and angle along the path for Z entry stratergy. Maybe also try working on selected surface and not a boundary box. It's been years since I used 3D milling...
I used to have these sorts of issues a long time ago when using 3D milling. Switched to HSM and things improved no end. Also make sure that your Lower Level isn't set up too low.
Control depth in your operation/toolpath not with a solid model or you'll end up in all sorts of trouble.
Hey Spencer,
You may have answered your own question. I’m not certain that you can do an extruded cut through a surface as there is no solid to extrude through. I’d have to look at the SW part but...
In the Finish area for the wall finishing pass change from geometry to offset.
Alternatively just save and copy the operation and use the copy for your finishing op.
I think If you have to mess...
Hi there,
This is pretty easy to do with a profile op. After setting up your profile/levels etc. click the Technology tab and you will see an area called Modify where you can choose which side of...
