I want to leave the top open and make my own top panel for all the buttons and switches I need.
This controller will be used for 3 machines, one at a time of course.
I have yet to figure out if I...

Re: looking for metal control cabinet

Al, I have come to the same conclusion. The one from Aliexpress is $ 800.00 CAN. with shipping.
I should be able to get it made locally for that or hopefully less.

    Re: Centroid Acorn experiences?

I think the basic Acorn software does not do threading. Not much good for a lathe.
  6. Re: my AXBB-E and UCSB are on the way, small annoyance is anyone using axbb with mach

The AXBB comes with UCCNC License

Go to Madmodder forum , they have a big section on that controller.
  8. Re: Anyone considering the centroid Acorn instead of path pilot?

I don't know if it has come up before so I will mention it, the basic software doesn't even do threading.

I'm still working on my cnc conversion but so far I have been able to jog all axis with Mach3 without any problems.

  11. Re: Believable negative review of Tormach company support and product quality

It seems clear that most of you never watched the video. From minute one it was clear that he had sloppy leadscrews.
So some of you think Tormach has the right to sell a machine like that.
    I think...
  12. Re: Believable negative review of Tormach company support and product quality

Tormach, sloppy leadscrews don't belong on any cnc machine. If your Chinese slaves can't build a more accurate machine don't sell that CRAP.
  13. Re: A New Widescree-Touch LinuxCNC User Interface Proposal

I got it skrubol, she doesn't reply to anyone though, not here or linuxcnc forum.
  14. Re: A New Widescree-Touch LinuxCNC User Interface Proposal

I forgot to frame my question properly. Will it come on as I turn on linuxcnc without having done the machine setup first.
  15. Re: A New Widescree-Touch LinuxCNC User Interface Proposal

Will it come on as I turn on linuxcnc like it does with mach3, if so it is very interesting.

Thanks 109jb, "test this axis" is more than likely what I need.

Re: Axis, Linuxcnc, where is Axis?

109jb, I think that works only with simulated hardware. I want to run some tests on an actual machine with the jogging function of linuxcnc, if it has that.

    Axis, Linuxcnc, where is Axis?

Turning on Mach 3 the GUI is right there. Where is the GUI in linuxcnc ?
I don't want to setup a machine , I just want to see the jog function ,if it has one, to experiment.
  20. Re: Beware windows Security Update KB4103718 kills Mach3

I did update my windows 7 a few days ago and my Mach 3 crashed .After removing all updates Mach 3 worked again. I'm going to update again and I'll be looking out for KB4103718 and block it .Thanks...
  21. Re: Mach3 Windows 10 64bit 1803 Provisional Patch

After a recent windows seven 32 bit update my Mach 3 crashed. I could not use Mach 3 till I uninstalled all updates.I guess the culprit is somewhere in that bunch.
  22. Re: Mach3 no longer works in Windows 10 as of version 1803

I need to ask: where did you get the 1709 from. My mach 3 is R 3.042.020.

Re: Chinese stand alone controller weird Z issue

I bought the DDCSV 1.1 4 axis with MPG a while ago and I'm slowly getting the hang of it.
Found out to late it doesn't do lathe threading. Buying the 2 controllers you have would cost me $ 1500.00...

Re: Chinese stand alone controller weird Z issue

I was thinking of getting one but then it turns out you need one for the mill and another one for the lathe.
    That's just to much money.
