yes its a chinese 130w tube with power supply.
on a home made machine.
how to you set the current limit, is it on the power setting or the power supply.

hi all im hopping someone can help. i noticed the other day when cutting 6mm mdf at 40w and 10mm sec the ampmeter was showing 38 milliamps
its only when i set the power to 20 for a cut does it drop...

thought i would add a picture of what is happening.
you can see the cut is not smooth you can see were the laser
has been pulsing to cut through it.

i have just finished my homebuild 130w cnc laser cutter i am using a awc708c controller &
lasercad. The machine is running great the only problem is the laser is pulsing on...

Right I eventually found out I was missing a lead to the controller, I managed to make one using the plug of an old PC power supply. The laser now fires and I have cut a few small squares and circles...

well i have connected the power supply to 240v now but when i push the test button nothing is happening.

thanks cncman i think you may have solved it im sure i saw it was 24v input but i think it should be 240v.

hi paul i already have the power supplies lenses, focal lense contollers etc.
it is pretty much complete apart from the laser tube and power supply.
the only problem i am having is trying to figure...

has anyone managed to control the power level and the the firing of the laser from mach 3 successfully.
i have seen some people using the pump to trigger the laser but with a small ms delay.
