I once found an old THK document with locknut torque figures, now I cannot find where i saved it.. BUT I do have an NSK document that states 20.6Nm for an M25x1.5 lock nut and 5Nm for the set screw....
Update: $275
Digging this up from the past but thought the solution might be useful for anyone else in future.
To make this VFD go above 320Hz, you need set F00.11 (Frequency reference resolution) to1...
Bought this as a spare for my cnc machine but do not need it.
Have confirmed it works fine using my PI7 interface. Rubber boot has deteriorated due to age, I've heard simple balloons can be...
G'day guys,
Since getting my machine running and becoming more comfortable operating it, I have started the quest for higher material removal rates. Also I have become a bit frustrated at the lack...
Bought this as a spare touch probe for my cnc machine but do not need it.
Have confirmed it works fine using my PI7 interface. Rubber boot has deteriorated due to age, I've heard simple balloons...
Looks good! The more machining I do lately the more I wish I had ATC. Even just setting up the probe to locate features is slow with the ER20. The probe always needs adjusting..
Thanks Mactec, they have the following listing but don't tell you what size is inside each spindle. I may order a spare set just in case they're ever needed.

No it all seems to be back to normal now. I think it needed some time to warm up that day. Otherwise I emailed Wafer (a while ago now!) about what grease to use if I was to strip, clean and regrease...
Jianken JGH105/2.2kw, 400-800Hz, 4 pole, ER20
Did you play with the linear error max., lin. addition length max., corner error max. and lin. unfiy length max settings much?
From my understanding these actually need to be adjusted for large...
For what its worth: I run one of these BAP400R style face mills, 50mm diameter, 12mm shank (for ER20 collets) at approx. 9000RPM (300Hz) on my spindle. I could possibly go slower but haven't pushed...
Hi Peter, I follow you on facebook a little and saw you were doing tests on linear and corner max accel's etc. Just wondering how your testing went?
I use UCCNC and an axbb-e on my machine and...
He mentions that he uses the settings in his other video: https://youtu.be/ZOdCpw7xnQA
He has a 2 pole, 400Hz, 24000RPM, 6.6amps. These figures are shown in this video: https://youtu.be/pWNeW-lH9RA
Thanks Mactec, the link below is the cable I am running. I checked the shields and all the clamps are still tight and looking good. My VFD will only let me set the carrier freq. to a max of 8 though...
Hey HenjryJ just wondering if you still have the noise going on? My jianken sounded very similar when I first started running it in. Then it was perfect for many months, then just last night it...
Fair point about the extra 300W.
Mine and Fox's are both 220V units, the specs engraved on the spindles are 6.6A (2.5kW) and 6.0A for my 2.2kW.
When I look at the torque graphs for these...
Yep, so what I don't really understand is how some people run 8-9-10amps (when the spindle is only rated to say 6.6amps in the case of Fox's 2.5kW jianken 2 pole), without doing any damage and they...
Here is a link to it:

I have done some test cuts where it hit 5 or more amps (on the VFD display) but just started bogging...
For whats its worth I bought this Fuling 3.7kW VFD, supposed to have vector control but I believe its only up to a certain amount of Hz. I'm in Australia running it on single phase 230-240v power.

Bump, Price now $350
Hi all,
I bought this with the idea of modifying and using it on my DIY CNC machine but have changed plans. Hopefully it is usefull to someone here!
Looks to have had very little use if any,...
Where are you located Advil? I may have a TP1s or an MP9 for sale soon, the MP9 has the optical module thing attached but could be easily converted to hard wire I belive. I am in Australia..
Apologies for filling up this thread with messages, I can't edit my previous post which is annoying..
My PI7 has 6 switches on the rear panel. Turns out some have 6, 9 or 10 switches.
Hey Zetopan, I picked up a PI-7 (v4), just wondering configuration you had the DIP switches in? Mainly switches 3 and 7?
I am going to try this interface with a TP1s, though it is not techincally...
Well I wired up the TP1s to the I3+ and I3- probe inputs on the UCCNC AXBB-e, trued it up to within <0.005mm and so far it looks to be working great. I also measured the pre-travel variation at...
Hi all,
Few updates since my last post, mainly a flood coolant manifold and now a Renishaw TP1s probe.
Flood coolant: Design was again inspired by Fox3d, I have actually had it mounted to the...
Yea so that is basically the combination the guy recommended. TP probes are for coordinate measuring machines in clean rooms, very smooth motions with air bearings etc. Hence why they have only 1...
