Hi! Do you have manuals of the machine? We have an OKK MCV-520 with Meldas M2 controller. I am trying to figure out how to use it
I use climb milling.
In fact, the poor finish i get is like the finish I would expect when doing climb milling in a manual machine without ballscrews,
It is not shatter.
Our horizontal machining center, Haas EC-400,
leaves a rugged finish when it is going downward (-Y axis).
Leaves a good finish when going up (+Y), bad going down (-Y)
What I've been doing so...
I have to turn this 1/8 brass pin down to 0.053in, protuding 0.600in,

So my Length/Diameter ratio is about 12X, and I don' have a swiss type (screw machine) lathe, just a normal CNC...
I have ZERO experience with routers and wood machining.
Your cutter is carbide, right?
Your parameters would be fine for machining alumininum with flood coolant.
My guess is that the spindle...
Ah! Caray!
This was one year ago so I assume that you already found the solution.
I had the same alarm, it was an open line of 24VDC thas goes thru the magnetic/thermal breakers.

We have a Haas minimill with a bad amplifier. Today it went to repair for the third time, so I disabled the Y axis and used the machine to face some parts using only X and Z axis.
My question is,...
Well, any machine, any device can be really dangerous when not used correctly or simply lack of common sense. I knew of a guy who cut his own throat with a cardboard cutter. He was opening some boxes...
Thank you, underthetire.
Well, we have a Haas Mini Mill full time dedicated to these jobs, but I am drilling at maximum 2000 rpm, 0.080" pecks, 0.008 ipr.
If I increase rpm, the heat transfer...
Hi!
It takes about 15 minutes to make one part about 0.600" diameter, 0.800 heigth with about 40 holes 0.070dia, 0.750 deep, in PEEK. Tolerances +/- 0.001"
I wonder if this kind of parts can be...
I found this video in youtube,
a boy trying to stop a lathe with bare hands:
I fought the Lathe and the lathe won - YouTube
He was lucky
Wow!
There´s always something new under the sun. :)
Hi!
Does anybody has information about how to wire
a a Fuji Frenic 5000 M2 drive
Type FMD-3AC-21A
I want to retrofit a Haas VF0 and use the same spindle drive.
I got a users manual from...
Thanks Mike.
But you shoulnd't mess with the EPROMS until you are ready to scrap your machine, not because it is difficult, but because of the risks involved.
To read the EPROM chips you need a...
Before you make your toilet
could you read all the EPROMS of the processor board and email them to me,
please?
We have a 1990 VF-1 that could make a nice toilet too... :devious:
This are...
We have this 20 year old Haas VF-1 wich haven't worked in the past 10 years.
I am suspecting that the EPROMs got corrupted.
Haas can't provide me with original EPROMS, but can sell me a whole...

Fixed! :-D
It was the cycle start push button,

Why? Only god knows!
Thank you Alex.

Mmmm... So X0.5 is related to Diagnostic 0 bit 5 :-)
Now it makes sense.
I was completely lost looking at diagnostic 5.
Does the same applies to all signals (R,G,S,F,X,Y)? Or only to X & Y...
I completely agree with Angelw:
The Behind the Tape Reader is a really nice solution to the tedious of programming & running one letter at the time, trough that small 7-segment led displays.

Well, I am sure that it is not the Single Block.
And I am not so sure about how to find the diagnostic related to the X0.5.
I didn't had time today, but tomorrow I am going to dismount the...
The R602.7 and X0.5 are remain off.
The X0.5 is the Cycle Start button. If I push it for some seconds, then the control recognizes the M01,
as if the ladder ran trough the S076 line before the...
Thank you guys, for your fast response.
Yes, the Optional Stop button is pressed (and iluminated too)
Bill, that's right, the program stops at M00, then I must press Cycle Start at each M01.

Hi,
I have this problem in a Yang Lathe with a Fanuc O control,
the M01 optional stop is not working.
It only works if I program it directly after a M00, like this:
T0100
G97 S300 M3
M0
I am looking for somebody in the San Diego area who can train us or, at least, give us an idea of how to use our lathe efficiently and put us on the right path.
I am running an old Citizen L20, 5...
Thank you cncdiag,
I owe you a beer ;-)
Its look a lot like a Fanuc system 5T. Apparently displaying an alarm
I have 2 lathes with that control (both down).
It is really difficult to get manuals or information about them.
So far I...
