Re: EC-400 are they a ok machine?

Haven't worked on them but have known guys with them. They made them work just fine for what they needed. Probably the easiest step since you already know Haas.

Is there a reason you think they...

Re: Haas "Tool Type" Macro Variable?

Are you sure it is even a variable? I mean, does it actually affect the cut path or what the machine does? Those might be only for operator assistance (so they can easily see what each tool is) not...

Re: HAAS VF2 SS miling parametersabo

LOL Yeah no kidding...but my point is...did the tool maker run 15 minutes on a Haas or on a Mazak? :wee:

  10. Re: I guess I just better calibrate my probe weekly or maybe daily

Are these your only probe machines? Something has gotta be odd with what you are telling it to do. I've literally NEVER had either probe go out of calibration. I check them every now and then but...

    Re: Problem with Haas VF1

It's a little tough to "repair" a board on a Haas...they are made to just be replaced. It's not impossible, but not something they would do for you. This machine is only 2 years old?

I can't tell if you are trolling or not. You only registered yesterday and have all of 3 posts all on the Haas page and all regarding Matsuura. Very Troll-like

Re: Do Haas toolroom machines us scales

Most of the time on a tool room lathe the tool post is the biggest cause of repeatability errors. Holding .001" on a TL1 is normally quite common.

Glass scales on a 20k machine...? I'd have to...
  15. Re: Anyone using a probe to perform on machine inspection?

"a bit more advanced"...that is why I don't get too crazy on the Haas. It just isn't capable imo of true CMM reporting (i.e: your ISO audit). I don't think I'd trust it beyond .0005" and even then...
  16. Re: Anyone using a probe to perform on machine inspection?

I use it for verification only - and sometimes will write in tool offset adjust if part is out of spec and tool re-run macros. I haven't gotten to the point where I really care about posting a...

They should also be in the manual with the codes to turn them on. I think it is pretty much just a list in the back. Handwritten maybe? been a while since I've looked.
