I'm working on a Haas TL2 Lathe running on 220v single phase when I power up the machine I get alarm 177 Overvoltage Shutdown and the machine times out.

Yes, we use a Ethernet to RS232 converter for drip feeding on our NUM controller.
Been using it for over a year now with no problems.
Do you mean when your machine goes to pick up a tool from the tool rack that the spindle keys don't line up correctly?
If this is the case it sounds like you need to adjust your spindle locking...
If you have a problem with your machine or programming ask on the CMS site. I know there is not alot on there but you will be dealing directly with the tech department and they are usually quick to...
Here are some more you will like.
CMS has there own forum site for Q&A.

And this site is priceless.

Go to "ask the experts" section
Try this place.
A little expensive but quality stuff.

We use diamond tooling.
http://www.coldspringgranite.com/dmndwrt1.html
We also use carbide tooling for finish work.
This pc. took about 3 hrs., we still have to finish the other side.
It is made of Indiana limestone, 28" x 20" x 11".
The small lion is plaster.
No we do not make molds.
We also have the next engine scanner and are happy with it.
Here is a lion we scanned.
We imported the STL directly into MeshCAM for the G-code.
A horse head from vector art 3d.
Big limestone
Some lathe pics.
We have a Omag top 95, Omag mill 98, and Brembana maxima 5-axis.
We cut granite, marble, and limestone and we also cut laminated edges.
The Omag top 95 has over 18,000 hrs. on it. we bought it...
No ablo es spanio. (I think)
If you put the drilling and countor in the same process the mill will start in the center of the hole and the hole will be drilled acording to your entry settings.
Also under plug-ins is a helix bore option. Maybe this is what you are looking for
A twisted edge detail with our 5-Axis machine. Made from granite.
Here is a lions head we scanned with a 3D laser scanner and reproduced in Indiana Limestone.
I saw an episode of This old house and they toured a kohler factory, they were making commodes and they showed the whole process. to make a long story short when they fire the clay is shrinks and...
Here is a shortcut. :)
Insead of dragging the black square you can hold down the ctrl and shift buttons on the keyboard and move the mouse to the geometry you want to end on and left click on the...
JEST is right.
We use ADI tools and they have the feeds and speeds for there tools, but it also depends on the type of stone you are cutting. Soft granite is going to cut faster than hard...
I think your only worry is the tools you use.
We use ADI tools, they have different tooling for stone and glass.
I have never tried to cut glass with our cnc machines but from what I'm told a...
Here are some more.
The urn on the lathe is 12" dia.
The lion was scanned and enlarged to 10".
Here are some pics I found.
The leafs were scanned from real leafs and programmed in carso.
The finials on the lathe are 18" dia.
Had the same problem a couple of years ago with an older version of Gibbs.
IF YOU CANNOT IMPORT DRAWINGS INTO GIBBS YOU NEED TO DELETE THE FOLLOWING FILES.
1. UISTATE.DAT
2. SYSDEF.RSC
...
I came from the steel machining indutry 15+ years ago to stone.
We have a Brembana Maxima 5-axis. Never heard of your machine so I have no comment.
The main differences are:
1. Stone chips...
What do you mean by data exchange? Are you trying to import a drawing from Solid Works into Gibbs? We use Rhino for most of our CAD work then inport into Gibbs as a iges. Just go to the file menu...
Our laser does not suck. It is a 3D laser scanner for scanning 3D objects. You can scan a 3D object and create a tool path to reproduce that object. With the Carso software you can change the...
