Thanks for the reply... at least I know where to look.

G'day guys,
I've got a 1100 - Series 3.
Every time I have to set a tool height, it drives me crazy that the spindle "homes'' first and then
travels at 110 mm per minute, down to the tool...
Here's the message that I've sent to Tormach support.
I'm in Australia, so we use 240 volt and I have a 1100 - Series 3.
I would like to use a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) so that I...
I probably should have explained myself a bit better.
The property that I'll be moving to in about 6 months, seems to get black outs occasionally.
I figured that if the lights (on the ceiling)...
G'day guys,
Just wondering if anyone has used a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply)
for the 1100 and the controller.
I thought that it might be worth doing, although I have no idea of what...
Thanks for the info
Thanks for the info... it will save a lot of guesswork :)
Initially I was going to make the roof panel out of 1" x 1" extrusion and fit perspex panels. Then utilise the light from the ceiling of...
Hi David,
Thanks for doing that, I really appreciate it.
The numbers don't need to be "dead" accurate, as I'm making a cover to go over the top.
If the cable chain is above that measurement,...
If it's not too much trouble, could you give me a measurement from the table instead of the floor, please?
Michael
Hi Bruce,
Just thought that I'd double check... is the measurement that you gave me, measured from the table to the top of the enclosure, or from the ground?
Michael
Hi Bruce,
Thanks for the info.... that makes my life a lot easier :-)

As I mentioned, I've already dismantled the...
G'day all,
I need a measurement, if someone can help me please. For a Series 3 (1100).
I need to know the height from the table to the highest point of the Z axis, when It's at the highest...
Hmmm..... If I was "tapping" my nuts to centralise them, I'd be worried about the pain ;)
Michael
I'm curious .... How did they diagnose the problem ?
Michael
G'day mate,
I've never really "shopped" around for tooling.
I buy all my tools from Iscar and (although) they're not cheap, they're always good quality.
The current price for a collet nut...
I engraved 2 sides, opposite to each other and the engraving on some of them was a bit deep.
As you pointed out, vibration might be an issue and I 'aint gonna find out the hard way what happens to...
I did think about doing that, but I'm pretty fussy with how things look :)
Michael
Thanks for the reply, but I was referring to the collet "nuts".
I've bought a couple off E-Bay and I'll what they're like.
Michael
G'day Guys or fellow Tormachians,
I engraved a lot of my Collet nuts and (guess what) I've decided to change the numbering order.
I've bought a few of the (ER-16) nuts from Tormach and...
Yeah, actually I did.
The lock nuts, that hold the end of the air cylinder had come loose and that was causing the error.
It took a bit of figuring out.... but I got there
Michael
I did a sample file, just to test how this works and all the numbers seem to be wrong.... I'll double check and see if they're being halved.
The other thing I did notice, is that the tool table...
Thanks for that... You know, I never noticed those buttons before
So, can you edit the CSV file in Excel, or you have to use a text editor?
Michael
G'day guys,
I'm running the latest version of PP 2.?
I read somewhere that you can export the tool table as a CSV file.
I'm assuming that you can import the file into MS Excel and edit it?
...
G'day Ken,
I kinda makes VCarve look pretty average, doesn't it?
Michael
Hi John,
Thanks for all the info, it really was a big help.
That is, until I realised that I had a major "brain fart" and (wrongly) thought that the 204 wire was power
coming in from the...
Here's the socket, that (as I mentioned) has no power going to it and also the relay.
Michael
G'day mate,
I'll post a picture that shows the relay in question.
As I mentioned, I can hear it "click", when I click on the Coolant icon in Path Pilot.
Michael
I've checked every fuse and they're all ok.
I'm going to send Tormach an e-mail and see if they can help me out.
Michael
As mentioned, I don't have any power to the socket, that feeds (power) to the pump.
I'm actually working on it now, but I'm not very good at this sh!t.
Thanks for the input.
Michael
Thanks for the info.... now all I have to do is find the relay.
I'm not that good at reading wiring diagrams, but I'll give it a try.
