I setup a sticky at the top of the chinese cnc section, just use this file to configure your machine, it works perfect, it even puts the X and Y axis around the right way but you can swap these...

just a thought, wouldn't the 6040Z motor and spindle fit onto the 3040?

by the way if you'd rather keep the X and Y axis as default that came with the machine i.e. X short side Y long side then just use this file but swap the 16 and the 4 around and the 5 and 17 around...
