  1. Re: Hyundai Hit-18s with siemens 840c ERROR 9107 axis motor overtemperature

From what I have read so far, no temp switch, it's a thermistor. I would not know even where to start looking in the PLC to find it. Good thing we found the problem. Pulled out the other axis card...
  2. Re: Hyundai Hit-18s with siemens 840c ERROR 9107 axis motor overtemperature

Found the Z-axis card had no lights lit at all, X-axis was showing 2 segments on 7 segment display lit. Swapped cards. Z-axis card stayed dead. Had my electronics guy look at it. he found 3 bad...
  3. Hyundai Hit-18s with siemens 840c ERROR 9107 axis motor overtemperature

Another first. I can find nothing at all about this error on the web. My 1995 Hyundai HIT-18S lathe with Siemens 840c control throws a 9107 overtemp error on start up. Motors are all cold. ...
  4. Re: How to geometry setting in the Hyundai HIT 15 lathe

I will add, on my lathe the ID tool holders are not a tight fit to the turret, They have some play and you can move the point of a drill up and down a little bit if you loosen the 4 bolts that hold...
  5. Re: How to geometry setting in the Hyundai HIT 15 lathe

Problem is not with the splines. You are correct to loosen the 12 bolts in the red circles and the pins. You will need to hit the turret with a soft face hammer to align it. When correct, you will...
  6. Re: Hyundai Hit-18s with siemens 840c ERROR 9208 Spindle not in set range.

Re-seating all the connectors did seem to help a little more. Error is now at 0.4% At 1000 RPM machine reads 996 RPM.
  7. Re: Hyundai Hit-18s with siemens 840c ERROR 9208 Spindle not in set range.

Working, I pushed on all the connectors on the simodrive. And it started working, Will update again soon. Going to shut down, pull and re-seat all the plugs.

  12. Re: Hyundai HIT18s with Siemens 840C ...I killed it.

If I remember correctly we had to use an old DOS computer to install DR Dos to the hard drive. Windows and Linux both did something that would make the disk error. I hope this helps.
  13. Re: Hyundai HIT18s with Siemens 840C ...I killed it.

To transfer in G-code files? or something else?
  14. Re: Supermax Rebel 1, ATC crash, broke the carousel in 3 pieces, cause unknown, help

I have the machine apart now to weld it back together. At least a temp fix until I can replace the carousel. I have a feeling the cause was a wrench that fell off the top of the machine earlier in...

    hit-18s Turret disassembly and repair

The turret on my Hyundai HIT-18S is very loose and wobbly, the problem is the splined shaft that supports it. I have shimmed it several times and that is only a very temporary fix at best. Machine...

    Re: Hyundai Hit18s

If the tool eye will not come down, first thing to check is if a wire came off. Look for a capacitor on the back door of the electronics enclosure. My HIT=-18S was shipped MI to PA with nothing...
  24. Re: Hyundai Hit-8s turret index and x axis travel

Ever get it fixed? I would say it's a parameter to tell the machine it has the optional turret.
