    I think I see where the problem is, The Phase 2 front mount y axis extension spacer 2.5" long piece puts the bearing axis centerline of the .25" mounting thru holes. I think they should be offset...

    Hoss,

    I just finished making the Y axis mount from your Phase 2 plans. The center 1.00" hole is .125" off center. Is this by design?

    However Your phase 1 plans for this Y axis stepper mount...

    I got my VXB AC bearins recently, new out of the bag they feel very gritty. Also they don't look like the same ones from Hoss Dvd plans. I think they changed the inner race material to this red nylon...

    I have the same cast pocket. Less to machine for when I add my c7 double nut ball screws. Definitely doesn't look like everyone else's solid saddle.
