You dont specify the code of each alarm... but W07 alludes to trying to start the spindle too soon...

Ya never know... and Im one that always likes to know why... just the way I am. infinitely curious I guess.

Hopefully we stumble into some answers at least... curious to know at least, even if we cant make it work, would be nice to know why.

I have tried in the past to figure out what part numbers etc I needed to look for just so I could keep an eye open... and have not...

I found some of the relay cards used for the additional Mcodes... so have a couple coming to have on hand for tinkering. E4809-770-035 is the card number. Which should be the RU-UM1 and 2 cards. ...

Saw one listed for sale, card number E4809-436-039 saying it was for an OSP5000 or 5020... and I was curious what the story was on the card... if it was a way to connect a 3.5" floppy to the machine...

Oh, one other thing I just noticed while looking at the wiring diagram (A40004) - they show a couple boards for the additional m-codes... RU-UM1 (spare m-code 2 pair, 4 pair) and RU-UM2 (spare m-code...

Posting an update to this so anyone that comes across it has a little closure...

According to an Okuma tech, there is no pressure switch on the tail stock. It is purely based on pressing the foot...

Confirmed the requirement of pressure on the tail stock to make it work... So you guys are exactly right on the operation there... which, at leasts gets me to where I needed to be for what Im doing....

I have not had a chance to test it yet (pressure on the tail stock) yet... but I did get a few pictures to go along with this... I opted for some pics because everything you guys are saying in terms...

That's what in was expecting to find but haven't found anything yet that is in the tail stock hydraulic circuit that has any wires other than the two solenoids.

The pressure switch would make sense... I have not tried it with it up against anything... was trying it with nothing in the chuck. I wondered that at one point but could never find a pressure...

Some where along the lines, I must have hit a key, (or my 7mo old did while sitting on my lap) that changed the info the coordinates display shows.
