I can do the islands one at a time so it's no big deal but I thought Sheetcam could handle more than one at a time.

You are correct with regard to one island but Sheetcam doesn't seem to recognise two or multiple islands and treats them as pockets.
Appears the way around the problem is to break it...

The replies so far have highlighted the obvious problems in scaling down a full size engine althouh most can be avoided if you are prepared to accept a compromise ie bolt and screw sizes and ignition...

Thanks for your response. Most of the time the start point selected by Sheetcam is OK but on occasions not suitable. The program does have the facility to move the point before compiling...

It was so simple I couldn't believe that I couldn't get it to work.
Problem was that the part drawing had (I suspect) a broken line, tho it didn't show.

Sheetcam selects the cutting start point from the input data.
How do you select another point and not the one selected by Sheetcam?

Stem, Look in Model Engineer from 13 April 2006. Plans and construction notes have been serialised in alternate issues.
