Hi you all!
There are these two lathes which execute the code M02 differently; one stops the program and unlocks the door, while the other stops the program without unlocking the door. And then...
Hi!
Does anyone happen to know what are the machine variables from which I can read the values displayed by the load meter screen? I'd like to read the maximum load values of the X,Y and Z axis...
The lathe in question is Mori Seiki SL-303 with MSG-501 controller;
We'd like to set the value of X WEAR of a tool to 30.000 but it turns out the value cannot be greater than 10.000 - any value...
The lathe in question is Mori Seiki SL-303 with MSG-501 controller:
We're trying to set the workpiece zero with G10 like this:
G10 L2 P1 Z-100.
This should set the Z value of G54 to -100....
The lathe in question is Mori Seiki SL-303 with MSG-501 controller:
We're trying to do helical drilling on the face of the workpiece using polar coordinate interpolation but it keeps causing...
I'd rather not use a PC for a simple editing. How do you copy and paste on the screen of the lathe in EDIT mode? Is this even possible?
Thank you Sinha - that worked great!
Hi,
My question is about Fanuc 18iM and Fanuc31i-A controllers: I'd like to jump inside the program itself using M98 like this (works with Mori Seiki's MSX-850IV -controller):
%
O1234
M98 H1...
Can anyone share a link to FANUC 15-T FAPT manual or send me the pdf via email? Anyone?
Bill,
since "small" programs can be sent from PC to NC without any problem the RS232 communication should be fine - this probably is a handshaking issue as you mentioned.
Al_The_Man,
now this...
angelw/Bill - I think the alarm was 087 but not sure...
landslide1 - Please do send me your settings, my email is [email protected].
Thanks for answering landslide1. We are already doing what you said but an alarm occurs. I think you have to do some machine parameter changes before trying this, don't you?
The program we'd like to run is too big to be stored in the NC-memory so we'd like to run it directly from the PC connected to the NC. How exactly do you do this? The machine in question is Fanuc...
dcoupar understood what I'm talking about (and I take the blame for those who didn't - English isn't my mother language, sorry). If anyone knows the right parameters for preventing the change of work...
I'd like to lock the value of work shift EXT X (set to the turning center of the lathe) so you couldn't change it by accident. I think this is done with the help of machine parameters but how?
How do you mute the lamp on the top of the machine? I'm not sure what this lamp is called in English (patrol lamp?) but the one I'm talking about is burning green during running of a program, yellow...
Thanks again Bill. You're the best!
Is it possible to send the machine parameters (all of them at once) from the CNC to a PC and if it is how do you do it? I can send NC-programs both ways so at least there's a connection for doing...
Alright. Thanks.
Thank you for your time and a really good answer.
There's a button "PSM" under "FUNCTIONS" which we use for measuring tool offsets and work offsets. Next to it is a button "PST" with an image of a tool on it - what is this used for?
Our lathe has this tool measuring device and when measured with it the tool offset values X and Z get incorrect values. This can be fixed, i believe, by changing the values of the following machine...
I know that with FANUC 0T you can not compensate tool nose radius with G41 or G42 during roughing cycles G71, G72 or G73 - and that with FANUC 32iT you can. How about with FANUC 18iT?
