Funny but whenever I manually G code on the lathe,my right index finger seems to follow what the tool should do!
I'm with Geof on this one...while QC looks good to a new machine buyer it also reduces your "knowledge",if you learn G code(which aint that hard on a lathe)..you should be ble to run most any...
Not really clear on what your asking....G4 is a dwell but cant see how that can help you.
G73 is a chipbreaker cycle...
Maybe post your code might be able to help further
No worries....just remember if you change anything on your control definition, just change one thing at a time..then check if it works..if it doesn't it's easy to change it back again
I've got X but prefer 9...it's a comfort thing...will have a look at an mcx set up
check your control definition in Arc>mill>helix support...check in all planes supported
I might be barking up...

I may be wrong,i believe all the 9000 programs are on the floppy that came with your machine
Roll tap will have difficulty forming stainless....drill bigger than 6.8...maybe 7.0mm if your tolerance allows it and use rocol tapping fluid and spiral flute tap
I've learnt that the apprentice is doing it next time....
