Hi,
Trying to solve a problem we have...
We laser cut 1000s of parts on pre-nested sheets, but a lot of these sheets contain parts we don't need, so they go on the shelf to hopefully be sold...
Do you have a link for where you got it from mate?

Hi All,
Looking into purchasing another machine for the shop ( Tight budget..) found these ebay special laser cutters (I know, you get what you pay for!). Has anyone here had any experience with...
Definitely decrease the stepover and increase feed rate. Failing that, get a bigger end mill ! I cut acrylic at 2000mm/min 16,000rpm 0.5mm DOC with a 3mm single flute
I think I am just having trouble understanding how the bit won't just get driven into the plastic by the spring, all the other engraving systems use a stationary nose cone that references the work...
Spring Loaded Engraving Tool found this one, still don't know how it will go with engraving lam though ! ahh
A little bit confused with their depth controlling nose cone, I looks as if the nose cone piece spins also ? I am trying to engrave engraving laminate, I think this would damage the surface somehow
I'm thinking I will need to make another router head that moves on springs with a nose cone to get the speed I need
That'd be good, but max of 3000 rpm, cheers though !
Hi,
I have been having a hard time locating a depth regulating device to engrave with to fit onto my spindle. All the ones I have seen are made for machines that have a spring loaded Z axis. What...
I've been able to get stuff within 0.1mm on small parts with my PRO4896. As long as you put it together right, shouldn't have an issue ! The email support from CRP is top notch.
Hi all,
Starting to build a vacuum table for a 4x8 router, only going 4x4 for the vacuum table just for easy of use etc..
I've got a javac vacuum pump that was used in the air con industry, I...
Roger, backlash never got changed and is still zero, calibrated both axis again after calibrating my tape measure with the gauge blocks. Move a bit of gear rack around , was out by .3mm compared to...
Would it be normal that i am getting different steps per for each axis, even though they have exactly the same running gear ?

Nil backlash, this thing is tight as. Reset the steps per to the calculated value and it's within 1mm of the full table now, and that could be in the tape measure. I flattened out the rivets in the...
Exactly the same as myself mate, so did you find doing it that way, working within smaller areas you maintained accuracy ? I'm trying to cut .5mm (0.0020" ) increments for inlays in Acrylic.
Sorry for the lack of photos... I actually forgot about this thread ! Here is a handful ! 258836258838258840258842258844258846258848258850258852258854258856258858

Scratch that. +/- 2mm...
What about a laser distance measurer ? That'd be pretty accurate surely !
I was sort of hoping the purchase of those gauge blocks and indicator would solve it.. Cost me bloody near on $370 ! Ah well.. Least I have them now. Might give the tape measure another go. You'd...
Only thing I could use to measure that distance is a tape measure though. Seems pretty agricultural

258800 this method has got me pretty close , now only probably 2mm out over the span of the table (2420mm) so if you think about it, that's something like 0.0001 out when calibrating at 50mm

Hi all,
I've got the latest PRO 4896 all setup and running now, only thing is i've lost half a head of hair trying to make this thing accurate !
I don't know whether im asking to much from it...
Hi,
Im trying to find a plugin to control functions in Mach3 from a USB Joystick board, no not a joystick, an actual control board which has 28 buttons instead of 9 that the plugin on Mach3...

Currently waiting for funds to clear for the rest of the kit, but I have all the...
Oh for sure, I haven't managed to mount this to the machine yet, but before that, these chinese bits will be getting cut down. I've got some proper stub bits on order
243858 This is how i decided to fix some issues. New makita Router and some new mounts. Bought some more bearings to replace the shoddy Y axis ones on the machine. Should be a good upgrade for my...
Hi mate, my gcode has a g40 in the header , so I then looked at the rest and it looks as though it is compensated for in the coordinates , I pulled apart the spindle and it has a busted bearing, so...
