Gary :-)
On the right you can open the results panel; click on the details tab, there should be run time for each operation. Also there is a clock at the bottom right when the simulation is running.
A few years back I used FeatureTurn to program an EZPath lathe. The control we had would read both G-code and conversation. I always used the conversation post. It worked just fine after a few minor...
Unions drove wages up from slave labor to a good living wage. They are on the decline and so are wages. There will always be a need for skilled labor, never stop learning new tricks. You are...

When you purchase FeatureCam if they don’t have a post for your machines they will build one for you.
I never have, but why not try it. An interesting combination of new and old. Using a round tool you could change the feed to adjust the finish. I can visualize a jumping jack hanging on an EZ Trak. ...
Dan, the Seattle area can be an expensive place to live. With your list of skills you would have no trouble finding work here. Before Boeing went out on strike all the shops in the area were looking...
If you just want to cut the outside of the boss I would forget about FR and go to top view and select everything that defines the boss and project them to one plane. Then create a curve, then a boss...
There are two good places to change things in your file. On the left is the tool box, select the part view. Look for the feature you want and open the properties box. This where you can change...
Thanks for links Susan.
There are many libraries with 2D and 3D object files that can be imported into Rhino. For hardware Reid Tool has a good one. The Solid Works site has a huge one with many sections.
Upper left corner, the tiny printer pic. You will get a print set up page and view of what will be printed.
I like that! ;-)
You can change the width of the line in layers. It will not change on the display just when printed.
A few options. Open tool list page and print screen. On save NC page there is an option to save a tool list, then print it from that file. I think at FM support ther was a plug-in to print tool list...
It shouldn't take many lines I would MDI that part of the program.
Stereolithography = 3D printing, that is what I am trying to say in general terms. There are many types, heated wax, laser activated resin, and some now even use powered metal. Ch, I think you would...
SLA is commonly used to produce master patterns for many types of casting.
Solidscape is a SLA using wax instead of resin.
Gary
For your needs you might want to look into "Stereolithography".

Rhino4 the latest update.
Has anyone used the “squish” and “squishback” commands? http://en.wiki.mcneel.com/default.aspx/McNeel/AdvancedFlattening.html
They might help in this situation. I just started playing with them. It...
Use the .igs file to make a solid or curves, then features and post your code. I don't have the time to step by step this. That is the way those of us who did'nt have FR did it every day. Go to the...
I don’t have enough experience with the others to give a fair comparison. My experience using FeatureTurn is with single spindle turning centers and no live tooling. I haven’t seen a CAM package for...
offset or mirror, even tranform/move/copy
Dean,
It sounds like you're talking about 2D milling. If you have a curve already choose boss for outside the line or pocket for inside. You can cancel the roughing and just run a finish pass. There...
MAK,
You can read through my old posts on this subject and tell that I like it. The shop I’m in now uses MC, I’m on a turning center and can write code faster with the machine CAM than MC. I sure...
Sorry I have no feature rec. time. Try the FeatureCam forum.
