I think my ceiling is a full inch too low but I do have a drywall saw. My dealer is an hour and a half away, wish he was closer, I am kind of out in the sticks.

I like the way you think, l could put it on the roof. ;-)
I do develop and market a line of products that lean towards the mill. The router takes up 49 square feet of my total 420.
That would be nice but the router is currently taking up the space I need for the Haas. Putting it on ebay :-(
It is a nice machine with very low hours sad to have to let it go.
If you look you'll find posts on here by me about my cnc router. Nice router, good machine, just can't do what a vmc can do. So I just ordered a Haas TM-1P with HA5C rotary 4th axis and rigid tapping...
All in with delivery and brokerage fees came in a little under 2k.
Well the spindle arrived about a week ago, looks great and has some documentation which makes me happy. Working 12hrs a day 7 days a week right now, so I am going to have to make some time to switch...
Looking good Kenny. I did wire the money the other day so now I am waiting with bated breath for it to arrive, probably a couple of weeks. I have been communicating with Wafer also, good to know I...
I am in the process of buying a 4.2kw, water cooled, BT30, ATC spindle for my cnc router. What I am doing is rectifying a mistake I made when purchasing the machine. I definitely should have ordered...
Your absolutely right about switching from Mach.
I have been cutting out and engraving aluminum parts on my cnc router now for a couple of years. As I expand my product offering I am ending up milling out more of my new designs on the manual...
I was wondering about that high speed haas. They list the rpm as 25000. That is not fixed is it? I would think it is variable up to 25000, am I correct?
I was thinking about the Clausing Kondia today, it is somewhat local so I can go see it and a lot cheaper than the high speed haas.
I am good with that I just dodn't want to be locked at 25k.
I know I am in for a learning curve (to put things mildly).
That's the kind of input I appreciate, those are the kinds of things I have no idea about. What kind of reliability could i expect from a 20yr old machine? I know it all depends on condition but will...
Good to hear.
What do you thinks about the 20yr. old Cincinnati? If in good condition will I be able to make decent parts with it? The age kind of puts me off.
Cool, I'll have to think about what I want to ask you. Where are you in the world?
Shoot, I am in PA near Philly. I was hoping you were closer.
Fox,
I love it and think it is great. The shear mass of the thing with the flatness of a surface plate. I think your idea is genius!! I just wondered about the gantry as it was my first thought....
Really nice job! Don't have time to fully watch the videos at this time but will definitely back and check them out. Very interested to see how it all goes together. I do have one question though....
Just wanted to post an update as to my experience with this machine as I now have a few miles on it. I don't know if I mentioned this before but it is primarily used for routing aluminum. I have...
As long as your brush seals to the top of the work piece and your moving enough air, the vacuum sucks all the dust from within the brush sealed area, especially when moving 1000 cfm. Most of the...
Yes, 6 inch connection, 6 inch flex to 6 inch spiral pipe to very short 8 inch main.
Kept mine venting inside as I don't cut stuff like MDF or have to worry about too fine of particles even though they would not be a problem. With the filters I have there is really no pass-through of...
Sure. I cut the parts out of 3/4" acrylic flat stock and sawed some acrylic tube for the hose attachment and spindle clamp. Cemented a couple of blocks to the tube (milled to match tube radius) and...
jhank,
I have a Jcut 1313C, it is the stone cutting router they offer. I use it for wood and aluminum cutting, works great. I am using mine Mach3, not artcam though.
Get an electrician to pull a 240v line from the panel and use a VFD for the spindle 3 phase power. You want to build a serious machine from the looks of that thing, don't end up having to go with a...
Just bought a rotary converter from American Rotary, good price, fast delivery, good product. Got mine from their ebay store free shipping.
I just recently scored a nice three head Powermatic drill press for my shop. Wanted something to replace my Chinese "Wilton" 15" floor model as 5/8" holes in aluminum kept stalling it. Very happy...
