Geometry offset is usually 1/2 tool diameter, (if that's how your machine is setup). You can subtract from the Geometry, or go negative in the Wear. I put tool info in the Geometry, and adjust size...
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to get this 1996 Robofil 310 up and running, but I've had nothing but problems and I'm hoping someone can help!
Machine powers up fine, I ran autodiagnostic, and have...
Also check out Polygon Solutions. They make some nice Swiss sized holders! Very helpful as well. Make sure your Toolpost, or GDF block is centered really close! ----------------- John
Thanks for the info, but I've quit wasting my time with this machine. It's too hard to get any help with it, so now it's sitting outside under a tarp. ------------------ John
There are 2 sets of manuals on ebay for $85/set. They cover the 300-310, and the 500-510. Might cost you some $$$ shipping, but still a good price! ------------- John
It is common practice for Main and Sub to be spinning at cutoff/pickoff. The spindles are synced for RPM, and can be synced for flats, hex, etc.. Are there any programs from the previous owner in...
You can't rotate a live unit and still use the ID stations on an A20. Or on the A32's - unfortunately! ------------------- John
I also use "window" for chain, seems to work better for me ----------------- John
I had the same problem, so I contacted Esprit. Their AE's are fantastic! There was a problem with our version, so they sent a link for the latest release. Uninstall our version and accessories, then...
That is really amazing!! Great job!! ---------- John:cheers:
I finally have my shop at home, and all of my equipment as well. I’m looking for a filter to replace the diatomaceous earth in the canister. If anyone can help me out with a part number, I would...
I really hate it when someone asks for help, it is given, and then you never hear from the person again! I'm sure I've been guilty of it too! My mill is working again! I have "0" knowledge of...
Thank You! Looks like Espirit is the only game in town now! I was going to have them both come in and do a demo. I guess the decision is easier now!
Thanks again! --------------- John
Thanks for posting this! We have all Citizens, and I use Mastercam for all design, getting points, etc. We are looking at jobs that are going to require 3D work, and have started discussing software....

What size hole? What material? I recently drilled a hole 5.25 deep in 303 ss. Can't remember dia. exactly, but was over .200. I can post the program if you'd like. Used Guhring drills - pilot drill,...
Have you tried slowing your baud rate down? The older machines don't seem to like the higher baud rates. I've only used Win CNC to transfer files to our L4 32 that we used to have. ---- John
Hi jreynolds5, We use Solar Atmospheres of Western Pa for all of our heat treating. They have vacuum furnaces, and handle long lengths. They do great work, and we've been using them for 11+ years. I...
cncswiss, Have you checked out the settings through the Prep page? I can't remember if it's in there or not. I know it has pusher torque, so you may have speed in there as well. I'll take a look...
Hi Chris, I'm in Ohio as well. We had an M32, but sold it. Didn't have the long work piece device on it. We do have an L6 32 that has the long work piece unit. It's pretty complicated, and has to...
A06B-6052-H003
Got home, and checked the number. Also went looking on egay and found a couple just in case. How far can you deviate from the numbers? I've found: A06B-____-H003, and the prices vary...
tristarcnc, I'll look tonight and let you know the number on the amp. Thank You! ---------------- John
Thanks guhl, I will try your suggestions. ---------------------- John
bdyenter, you would need a Y axis to interpolate the holes. Best bet, 1.437 dia. tool, with a max dia. shank. For good finish, rough with undersize tool then finish full size. -----John
Hi All,
I have an Acromax MX16, with an 11M control and I'm having an issue with the spindle. It wouldn't run over 900 RPM. It would just stop, and show no alarms on screen. I had to power down and...
That's the machine that the chain broke on, and I haven't had it power up all the way to try it again. Need to go wiggle some wires again to try and make it run. Now the 11m is acting up. Control...
Hi TE, I got the 6M running, but wouldn't home on the Y. Cleaned the switches, like I did on the 11M, but it wouldn't fire up. Gonna have to do a wire by wire looking for the problem. The 11M was...
Hi Wray, I've been looking for more Akromax info, and I am hitting all the old posts again. Have you done anymore on your machine? I now have 2 of them. One is a 6M, and the other an 11M. I have all...
TE, how are you doing on your machine? I'm walking again and finally getting around in the shop! Powered up both mills yesterday and the 6M, that I thought would run, won't light the monitor. The 11M...
