  1. Partner 1D. Lower Z axis. Machine not under power.

I need to lower the z-axis as low as possible to prep for transport. Especially to get it out of my garage. How do I lower the Z axis, with the machine not under power?

    Build table only...?

I have no problem building a table and setting that up. But where I have zero experience is the CNC part?

Do they sell calibrated systems where you build your own table for?
  4. Re: Anyone have a PDF version of the Partner 1 Manual?

Ask and you shall receive. Two awesome people sent me the manuals I needed.

    Thanks again!

    Re: Partner 1D Tool Holders.

I'm curious how can you tell its unbalanced by looking at it? I would guess that if a company spent the time to engineer and manufacture it, balancing would be on the list of things of importance.

    Re: Partner 1D Tool Holders.

Just got offered this CAT40 4" Flycutter that looks to have a CNMG432 insert.

I am also wondering if I am doing myself a disservice by trying to stick with these inserts?

    Are they actually...

Also, there is red grease on the linear rails. But it looks to be VERY old. What grease should I replace this with?

Are there grease/oil lube locations on the machine other than the rails?

  20. Re: Machine seems to actually work now... What now?

I think I found this area to set the home sequence. Only the Z axis had something in this setting. I think it was 90. I believe it's supposed to be:

    X - 88, Y - 89, Z - 90

    Correct?
