I did search those exact terms already. I made the post after finding that same portable CNC set up by ESAB and another similar looking one on Alibaba. Most likely a knock off. I was very curious if...
I have no problem building a table and setting that up. But where I have zero experience is the CNC part?
Do they sell calibrated systems where you build your own table for?
Ask and you shall receive. Two awesome people sent me the manuals I needed.
Thanks again!
I'm really after any and all of the wiring schematics to diagnose and (with luck) find and fix whatever problem I am having.
If you have a PDF version of the manual with the wiring schematics, I...
Agreed.
I need to give you a call soon. Haven't been able to make any progress on my machine since our last session. Might be time to upgrade something...
I've had this machine over a year and...
I'm curious how can you tell its unbalanced by looking at it? I would guess that if a company spent the time to engineer and manufacture it, balancing would be on the list of things of importance.
Just got offered this CAT40 4" Flycutter that looks to have a CNMG432 insert.
I am also wondering if I am doing myself a disservice by trying to stick with these inserts?
Are they actually...
Thank you for finding that!
No tool changer on my machine. I passed on the Tool Holders anyways. Good to know I can look at both if need be though.
The main reason for my question is I want to use CNMG 432 inserts. I have A...
I found a great deal on a mixed lot of BT40 and CAT40 tool holders. From what I have found on good ol' Google, The pull stud length and thread is the only real difference. The body taper being...
Anyone?
How would one know if the rails needed replacing in the first place?
I am in search of some CAT 40 Tool holders that accept a CNMG 432 (Diamond shape) carbide inserts. I have a decent amount of these older inserts and I don’t want them to go to waste. I use them on my...
Will do. I appreciate your help.
Hey Bob. I do have your cable and it is now fully installed. The instructions were very clear once I took a good look. More or less, 8 was just nervous about the removal and install of the cable....
I am curious to know how the Spindle works with the compressed air to grab the tool holder. By this I mean, does it only use the compressed air to grab and release the Pull Stud? Or is there...
For reference:
X axis and Y axis Pulleys.

Also, there is red grease on the linear rails. But it looks to be VERY old. What grease should I replace this with?
Are there grease/oil lube locations on the machine other than the rails?
I've...
I think I found this area to set the home sequence. Only the Z axis had something in this setting. I think it was 90. I believe it's supposed to be:
X - 88, Y - 89, Z - 90
Correct?
I'm going through and cleaning up the machine. Also wanting to remove and replace the X & Y axis belts and pulleys. The old belts I cut off. The X axis motor is mounted on slots with four Allen head...
Awesome thank you. I was able to get the spindle to turn for the first time! Might not sound like much. But it's a big step forward for me.
One thing though. When homing the machine, only the Z...
So I had my Partner 1 sitting in my garage for almost 10 months now. After replacing the X axis cable today, it seems to be functioning.
The problem is, I have no idea on how to operate the...
after looking at the schematics. I got it all together. i just get very paranoid when it comes to wiring things. It's not really in my wheelhouse.
All wires are connected and cable is installed!...
Also, these 3 wires. Red, Black, Green are for the Armature Cable according to the diagram provided. I am unsure where these go?

ok, so I now have the 8 encoder wires pinned into the connector.
From the original cable, there was this attached to the cable.

Ah ha! I did not see last night that the cable connector had the numbers on them. Now that i have more light this morning, I can see them.
Stay tuned.... I am sure I will have more questions. :)
No, but thank you for those. However I do have them already. Unfortunetly they do not tell me where the pin wires go into the connecter.
Not sure why they came in sideways. I loaded them to IMGUR to correct this
