I accidentally named a program wrong having a , and #sign in the name. The control went berserk and now when I hit the list program button it does it again. I have shut them off (3 machines)...
I've never heard of being able to do this. Heat and titanium in a non-inert atmosphere is a disaster. It will make the titanium brittle. Titanium must be welded in a chamber full of Argon or a...
When using CAM systems you need to turn off the Trig help in the control. That is why you are getting erratic results.
I have a VM-16 7.5 horse. I currently (no pun intended) run it on single phase. Serial #4xxx if that helps. As posted earlier, two outside legs. You lose some horsepower with the switch to...
Is this happening at power-up or have you already homed the machine? If you are powering up, have you pressed the reset button?
I have a 1997 VM16 machine, Cent. VI control, how do you find and activate the subset work positions.
Post a copy of your cam output code so we can have a look see. More than likely there is something wrong in the code. I have had this problem before, and it had something to do with having a...
You must turn off trig help when using a cam system, or you will get just the results you mentioned. Call milltronics for the parameter to do this on your control.
I have a welder in my garage also plus a 3axis CNC machining center. I was welding aluminum one day (HF continuous) while running a 3d machining operation and the hf cause my work coordinate to shift...
1st you should have about 100 height offsets in your machine. You could use the same tool on all six parts, just call a different height offset in the program for that tool.
IE:
T1 M6
G43 H1
...
I'm interested in this too. Here is a pdf manual for Itnc530. Can you do a full five axis post?
Is this something that has to be turned on in the parameters? I tried entering them in my Cent. 6 with G-code and I got an illegal g-code error. Any ideas? My format was G541 I also tried G54-1.
I have a Cent 6 control since 1997. There is nothing in the manual about this. How does one find out if he has these offsets?
If memory serves, you hit the home (F1) key then there should be a key on the menu to Home here. It will set the current position as home and allow you to run the spindle.

Recommended filler for this combination would be Hastalloy W rod. Tig welding is in my opinion the best process to use.
G61 is exact stop mode to cancel it just put a G64 at the beginning of your program. And make sure there are no G61 codes in the program to turn it back on.
I have had this problem myself before. I solved it by putting in a new hard drive. I was DNCing from it. If you are RS232 feeding then this will also cause stopping if the machine has to wait for...
I use a Centurion 6 control. I always set my tools with a setting light that you can buy anywhere for under $100. I set the setter on the back stationary jaw block on my kurt vise. I set all my...
OK now my two bits, sell your stick welders and go buy a millier 350 synchrowave. It will do the stick, tig of steel, stainless steel, aluminum, magnesium, titanium, copper, inconell, and whatever...
sorry
Sorry,
Those are pictures of the same bead, shown before brushing and then after.
Ok, here you go if I can get these pictures to post:
The 1st picture is welded with helium DC Straight polarity (electrode Negative) before wire brush:
The second is the weld after wire...
I used to run a miller dialarc 250HF machine. The best way to weld thicker material is to either go to mixed argon/helium or to go to Helium alone with DC Straight polarity. I takes some practice...
The 308/308L electrodes are for welding stainless steel of 304 or 308 variety. So don't try those on aluminum. The welder you bought just does not have enough amperage to weld aluminum.

That's how I found out about the G53 code, by looking at the code converted from the conversational dialog.

I always use G53 G0 Z0 X0 Y0, G28 works also in milltronics. Usually at the End of my program I take Z rapid to tool change and then just use G53 G0 Y0 to bring the table nearest the operator. By...
You need to try isolating the HF as much as possible. It's noise can affect electronics everywhere. Ground the sub panel as you are planning, also drive another ground rod next to the welder and...
Here's a sample of a project I am "currently" welding. Done with a Miller Syncrowave 350 LX
2" diameter 6061 aluminum tube 1/4" thick. About 250 amps 3/32" 4043 rod
We bought two 50 evo linears with the heindenhein TNC530 Control and 4 DMU50's with the same control. We are having reapeatability issues with the two Linear machines. We had a 57 micron shift in...
