Is there a 'simple' process to lower the smell of laser engraving to make it less problematic for neighbor in a residential area ?

The problem is not under but on top... Also Engraving can cause this issue, though it more related to the cutting process... I'll give it a try anyway and see if it help when cutting

Using 40 watt laser with air assist, speed 100% and power at 1%.

When I engrave or cut, I get this residue that stick to the non engrave section of the acrylic making it lose it shiny surface.
