Didn’t want to go digital
Looking to buy ST20
Can the 20hp motor be run off a rotary phase converter?

I figured as much. I exported the file as DXF and then brought that in. See to help clean up some letters. A few are a mess.
I have version 32. But i don't have knowledge of how to rebuild. Im long...
Yes, I have one font that has issues but its many sub lines. Been trying to clean it up as you said. So far the planar solution is working.
The next problem is my laptop as slowed to a crawl with...
So far its working for few letters. The one with the problem fails planar. I'll work on it. Thanks for the direction

I'm trying to extrude a true type font but ending up with skin wall or facets instead of solid. Some fonts are solid and some are not.
What causes that?
also The fonts have many lines or facets...
Thank you for that. It was very helpful. It gave me a solution to my problem but appears there are issues that are now bugs.
I removed the allowance and it worked.
1, That says I can't leave a...
Yes, I'm using 32.
Where is BC techs here. I think this is a bug. But then again , i just might be doing something right.
Thanks , But i don't think this is my case
If you run my file you will see.
its 3.5" block. I'm cutting .25" deep.
It only goes .2 "
You can see it in the model and I ran it on my machine.
Link would be nice.
I selected the bottom edge to cut but still doesn’t work. So I guess I’m confused.

I attached the file if you want to run it and see.
No , There isnt anything like that
1. You should see the cut line in simulation on bottom surface
2. I can the part and it will only cut to .200 instead of .25
I changed the cut depth to .250 and it won’t simulate.
I'm still learning and can't figure out why the Z Level Rough is not going full depth on the top cut of this block
Appreciate you help. File attached

That’s encouraging. The PWM on Centroid forum might be the trick.
I surprised Centroid hasn’t come up with this.
Thanks
Rob
Does Centroid controller had a PWM output for running a laser?
Rob
picked up V31
Got mislead in contour milling. Plunge rate is new feed rate.
no matter what you put in for feed rate it only follow the plung rate.
Yes, very likely use it all the time now.
Need to use it on 2” hole for better precise cut. Haven’t tried that yet.
Very true but there is a problem side milling 2.6 tall piece in one shot. Unless you have a 3” tall carbide mill that’s in the $300 range. Jim Sawson here showed you can use cheaper mill and spiral...
Exactly, now need the slicer program and I’m good to go.
Good points. I should have been specific. Just because I have a large table doesn’t mean I want to do large format. I have plenty of real estate on head for for another type of head. If I’m not...
Yes. You are right. I noticed the profile finish doesn’t have contour ramping. Wonder why.
That might be a creative way to do it.
I’ll try
Thanks Jim

I have V28. I want to mill the perimeter of a part. I want to spiral down on outside instead of stepping down.
How do I do this in V28
Rob
I see. Great idea. I'll try it. Thanks much.
I rough cut that way and leave .005 final wall thickness.
Then the side needs final cut. In one pass to have perfect surface
I am cutting 6061, 2.6 long side cut. Using 3. LOC steel titantium mill.
I'm Taking .005 side cut, Mill chatters and anything over 900 rpm and I have to run 30IPM.
The finish is constant but not...
So that have 3D printer four feet by four feet?
so I have a gantry system with 3 axis centroid and your saying a conversion would be more?
And the servo system is better then centroid?
Is centroid doing any thing in 3D printer world?
Would like to try to convert my router into one.
