I certainly would tear it down. its not hard, just takes a bit of time.
Hi folks. Had to sell my 1100 S3, have some bits left over; make any fair offer and its yours... 4th axis is very heavy, so pickup in DFW area preferred.
Tormach Tension/Compression Head (new)...
Check out your local maker space.. I think ours up here has mill and lathe.
I'm in Dallas area but sold my 1100... still have some tooling and what not I need to sell.
Sounds like not worth upgrading to me unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket. You can go into the code and tweak rapid speeds a bit I think.. I did that years ago on my 4th axis.
When I moved, I couldn't take my 1100 S3 with me.. have left over stuff I was going to use with a new machine, but nowhere to put it.
PM me if interested. The path pilot controller is the short...
As a Tormach owner, I'd say yes. Bottom end Haas now a better value than the top end Tormach. I need to move before I get another machine though. That said, I do a lot more 3d printing than I used...
If I get another (have to move first), looks like the 0P will be my choice.
Cool I hadn't heard about the new machines! Feels like Tormach is moving up, and Haas moving down, but still seems to me the Haas is a lot more machine for the money, especially the 0P
As a former 1100 owner (had to sell it when I moved), seems to me Tormach has left the hobby market. I don't see why you'd get either of those when you could get this and have 10x the machine.
could just be low sales... CNC lathes always a tough sell in the lower end of the market, but nobody else is there with anything comparable so maybe not so bad.. Hmm......
I can't seem to find deets on its construction. Just wondering how heavy duty it is. I'd still like a gang tool plate, auto closer and part puller....
That one caught me by surprise. Looks nice, but suspiciously like some of the existing chinese stuff. Couldn't quite bring myself to spend on the bigger one for the limited needs I have, but this...
If anybody need a controller, I sold my series III after a move and still have the controller with path pilot card.
I've got the tormach one if you need one. Don't have my machine, but still various tooling
Ok, here's the current available items:
QTY List ea. Description
10 $25.25 ER 20 Collet Chuck (Not ATC compatible)
3 $44.95 ER20 ATC compatible Collect Chuck - Tormach Brand
1 $21.99...
Looking through my stuff, I also have
- Brand new TTS/R8 collet
- Brand new draw bar
- Tormach PathPilot controller
Note, the prices listed are what they cost new, not what I'm asking. you can offer or tell me what you want and I'll quote it.
ok, here's the inventory. No collets, though I have a a bunch of ER20 collets and could be convinced. The more of these you want, the better the price gets. You can make me an offer or tell me what...
Ok, I did some unboxing, and the TC head is the ER20. Just the TC head, and is 100% new/unused for $130, including Con. US shipping. I still need to inventory all the TTS holders; I've got a bunch
I'm going to need to go open it up and find out - I don't remember but I think its the ER20 one.
Hi all,
I bought a new Tormach T/C head some time back then had to move, selling my house and my Series III. Still have the T/C new in box and won't have a mill for some time. Anybody need one?...
Those plates predate cnc, but when doing production and drilling holes at standard increments, you can do it super fast manually. If your super spacer isn't CNC driven, they are still super handy for...
This is Tormach forum? Probably more info in a Bridgeport forum?
Tm-1P seems to be the best value of the bunch. I had an 1100 and other than some initial sloppy workmanship I didn't have any major complaints beyond the enclosure. Had to sell it when I moved, and...
:)
I sold my series III hardware when I had to move, but kept the controller. I guess I could use it with the lathe and get the new controller with the mill... (little ways out yet to get new...
its on the latest ad copy for the new MX with servos.... but there's no detail behind it.
Sorry if already covered somewhere. What's the Next Generation mean? Just software upgrades? another commodity computer? I have a pathpilot controller already - will I need to upgrade to the new one...
I actually flew up there from TX and visited. They were very nice and I enjoyed checking out the latest stuff in person but they wouldn't even give any discount for buying both a fully loaded mill...
looks like crashy time for the hard disk. prolly have to reinstall
