    It was working, but you need to confirm *how* it was working.
    Maybe VFD is expecting a different type of speed signal than it is...

    Its very hard.....

    Currently he is getting 10V at AO and AG, on the MB3, all the time, no matter what...

    Yes, I use a ESS and MB3 BOB for cncroom. Very happy with it.
    This person is an old, and a newbie pensioner so funds are tight.
    He also wants to stay with Mach3 as he has a license...

    Yes, Autoleveller is definitely a game changer....a great tool.

    Someone has suggested that each tool should be tested to find its exact characteristics so the settings can be set for that...

    You will save alot of money and have a nice starting machine at the end.

    I'd also suggest that you, when time permits, terminate your wiring with good quality and correct sized crimp lugs.
    A single loose strand can cause no end of problems
