As soon as / if I hear back I'll post here. Charter Oak was very helpful in getting me parts missing from my IHCNC kit, so at least they are/were trying.

I'm looking at getting their fourth-axis CNC upgrade, will try contacting them via email tonight.
Some of it is available from lasersaur/nortd as a kit, the rest of the parts you provide, go look at the BOMs and build instructions on Lasersaur Manual.
Tapped it out with a screw slightly larger than the gib, a drift would have bellowed out the end. Also discovered/remembered that I tapped the side of the mount for the X nut mount for lube but that...
...and the Y table is stuck on the gib. Sigh. Moved the bed to check some hose routing and it's locked right up.
I assume this is like unsticking other gibs -- remove the screws from each side...
This is taking forever, I keep getting paying work that doesn't involve me using the mill! I've rebuilt my lasersaur and am listing some products on Etsy and making things on my Southbend 10L.
...
I already use polycarb and Mitsumi (metric brand of 80/20), so it should be easy to make my own curtain to go on top of my own chip pan.
Just wondering -- did you make that enclosure? I'm getting to the point where I want one now that I have a $$$ laser cutter 5' from my mill and am trying to find plans/designs before I go off and...
Thanks, I did put in all the plumbing for an automatic oiler when I was doing the X/Y tables. I'm totally sold on the concept after seeing them in action at a friend's shop. After I get the...
Nothing gets in the way of a CNC upgrade at home like all the free CNC time in the world at someone else's shop. :-)
Finally working on this again, I want a 4th axis and it looks like I'll have to...
Late welcome back as well. It's also nice to hear a good story about the VA after all the problems my dad and my friends have had over the years.
I don't know from Syil, but the ads in the latest mags are pretty impressive if that's their product line. I'm just finishing the CNC on my (now ancient :-) IH mill and wanting toolchange and other...
All of my posts about problems with CNC upgrades were related to IH. Charter Oak has done an excellent job in fixing IH mistakes at no cost to me.
Ha, yes, they are. When I went to bolt the drill press to the table I discovered I had the wrong length bolts. I put zip ties on it as a better-than-nothing safety until I went to the hardware...
Tried to answer this yesterday but my post never made it.
Try looking at the manuals from Grizzly for their RF-45 clone. It's not %100 the same, but every time I've gotten stuck on my IHCNC mill...
Forgot to post the photos, there's a couple on my flickr account: pulley mount on my IHCNC mill | Flickr - Photo Sharing!
Mine came apart (into pieces) when I started the CNC converstion and I'm not sure what I'm going to replace them with. One idea I have is to get some vinyl that's thick enough to be bolted/screwed...
I have bought (and am in the process of installing) the Campbell Design combo board and a VFD controller from Automation Design. I forget why I didn't go with PMDX, but it might have been simply...
Got sidetracked on another project and finished the assembly yesterday. It all fits nicely, but I've never taken apart an RF-45 head before, so it took me the better part of a day to finish. I'm...
Started assembling mine today

Congrats! I don't know about other customers, but I'd be interested in upgrade pricing on things like chip trays and enclosures.
I have the folding 2 ton, like some of my tools it spends most of the year folded up in the storage shed. In a couple of weeks I'll be making a stand for a 500# rotating drill and the first tool...
It's often a matter of a company's size. In the mid-90s I worked at a software/hardware company that had a team that did nothing but read the AOL forums for our products and at my last job we had a...
I am face down in some paying projects trying to get them out the door. My CNC rebuild of the mill got kicked in the pants with new software licenses and parts from the new owners, but the cash flow...
Congrats on the purchase! I suspect you'll find many potential customers here, including those of us who already own a IHCNC rig or who had purchasing trouble in the past who are simply looking for...
I'd love to see photos as well. Pittsbugh just got a Tech Shop so I finally have a second machine shop to make parts for my machine shop. :-)
This isn't advice as much as my personal opinion, but if I was where I was before I bought the IH -- a few grand of savings and having to pick a mill -- I might just go with Grizzly. Not that it's...
Mine look a bit like standard-issue screw/nut kits that were roughly cut to length. I didn't write down the part #s before installing them, but I basically just drilled/tapped holes to match the...
I left the bay area a few years ago, but I'll email this out to some friends...
another set of auctions are up, selling the x, y, and z manual components left over after the CNC upgrade
