Re: Reducing voltage from power supply

Good point. A shelf bracket, for example, will be rated for xlbs, but in reality it will hold twice that. There's hopefully some wiggle room.

Re: Reducing voltage from power supply

I've watched a few videos on diy toroid winding (just out of curiosity) so I wondered if unwinding a few turns was an option. The toroid is wrapped so neatly, though...:D

    I was also wondering how...

Re: Reducing voltage from power supply

That's fantastic news. Thank you both. I've spent the last six hours in various rabbit holes looking for a way to remedy this.

I had just begun reading about how to wind my own resistor when I...

    Reducing voltage from power supply

My Gecko 201x drives max out at 80v. The guy at Antek advised me to go with a 77v power supply to be safe, but I tested it today and its output measures 82v. What's the best way to limit that to 80v?...

    Re: Ideal wiring situation

Thanks, everyone. I ordered a new power supply from Antek Inc. It is an unregulated 77v 1000w PSU with additional 5, 12, and 24 volt outputs. That should take care of everything with one 240vac...

Bench test: Y axis setup with mpg4

While I wait for a new power supply, (shout out to Antek Inc for being so helpful and reasonably-priced) I am bench-testing my new build. I've got everything powered up with small PSUs and am able to...

    Ideal wiring situation

I've decided to run a dedicated 220v circuit out to my shop for my router. I have a 2.2kw 220v spindle and a 48V 20A 1000w switching PS for 4 7A steppers. I also have a 24v PS for the BOB. One way to...

Re: Connection issues: c76-us300eth with uccnc

Thanks, Arturo. Disabling DHCP and leaving the gateway blank in IPV4 settings aligned the planets and it's now working.

Forgive my computer illiteracy everyone, but when I drop $1,000 on...

Re: Connection issues: c76-us300eth with uccnc

Ah, that's where the confusion lies. I opened that link before but since I do not have a 5LPT board, I defaulted to the C76 manual from cnc4pc - the one was sent to me via support ticket.

    Anyway,...

The manual cnc4pc sent me is 4 pages long. There is no page 9. What manual are you reading?

Re: Connection issues: c76-us300eth with uccnc

Nice. I read the manual. This is verbatim what it tells me to do:

Run the UC Utility program to establish the connection, set a fixed IP on the PC’s LAN cad
and whitelist the device on the...

Re: Connection issues: c76-us300eth with uccnc

When I run the ucxxx utility , it looks exactly like what's in the manual:

    DHCP: enabled
    IP address: 10.10.10.11
    Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
    Gateway: 10.10.10.10.

Those are the numbers I plug...

    Connection issues: c76-us300eth with uccnc

I am having a bugger of a time connecting my pc to the c76-uc300eth. I'm hoping someone can help.

This is what I've done, per the instructions:

Board is powered up with jumpers in correct...

I genuinely appreciate your replies, so thank you. I do try to find the information on here first, but it often seems the harder I look, the muddier the water gets.
