I'd like to help you but I'm a little confused on how you are setting up your machine. Does your tool setter use a macro when picking up tool heights? Is it just a indicator chucked in the spindle? ...
#105=1.0 but #105 does not = 2 I would think that would cause the alarm.
Years ago I opened my own job shop. When I told the insurance guy I was approaching area firearm makers for work he flipped out, Look up liability insurance for your product.
I like this. I tried it like
G90 G54
G1 X[-20. - #5221] F100.
M30
My G54 x position was set to -11.
After running the above program the x was at machine position -20.
On the machines I run...
In MDI type #100= 1
If your machine alarms it can't read macros. I'm not sure about the difference between A & B. I work with YASNAC machines.
Did you find a work around to this problem. I was thinking you could save the work offsets to unused variables. Then replace them when you don't want to run the warmup program anymore.
Look up G30 in your book. The machines I work on use this as a 2nd reference point return position. They are set in the parameters of the control.

What are you using for tapping fluid? Try Moly D. Drill the hole oversize. Do not work harden the material when drilling the hole. I do not have luck with osg taps. Try emuge.
Thank you Bill. I did come up with a way after posting last night. It used a WHILE DO loop and is six lines of code. If the numbers matched it was going to GOTO out of the loop. I'm not sure if that...

I have been running mid 90's Matsuuras evrey work day for fourteen years. They are nice solid machines. I can see how the age is catching up to them. We have one machine that seems to randomly make...
