All fairly easy to change with your sheet format and part formats. You'll need to make template files. Every time you start a new part or drawing it is pulling up the default SW templates.
It depends if you are doing the work or if you plan to hire. If you plan to hire, you can find someone that knows solidworks anywhere. Delcam is not very common outside of the aerospace markets.
Even better. A list of people who want 3d luthieryndesign that will actually pay for the service.
One 'ghost' I had in my machine was bad grounding in the buildings electrical system. I went crazy trying to figure out why all my DNC programs would quit or error out. Ever since I left the...
In order to change the default parameters of the Calmotion USB reader you create a configuration file, copy it to a UBS stick, and then boot the Calmotion USB reader (usually by turning on the...
That's why they are popular with mold makers. If a mold takes 40 hours to make we don't really care if we save a few seconds on a tool change. By the way. I have a dual arm Fadal toolchanger. All...
I did just this and submitted a write up of how I use ZW. I never heard back from anyone. ZW is a such a great product. But it seems they have abandoned us users and the US market.
I just upgraded BobCAD, SW, and my computer. You gotta get those guys to work on Multithreading to take advantage of the processors (So does Solidworks). I have this brand new high end machine...
Has anyone figured out exactly what Autodesk means by "Fusion Entitlement" with their new downloads. I have kept a 2017 version of SW and HSMworks for legacy data. BUt recently I got a new computer...
There are several ways. If it were my part....
First I would create a sketch defined stock contour which included the non concaved side fillets.
Then, I would use a 3D adaptive clearing...
The one I don't have when I need that extra inch or two!
It turns on when the machine turns on. I'd trace it back to the lugs at the transformer. My 1997 has two circuit breakers right next to the plugs. Not sure on the 1994
Just an annoying reference I've always ignored in MC.
There is NOTHING that competes with the Fusion subscription for what it does for $300 a year.
Transform (Xform) - Scale
Then just regen the toolpaths.
That's rather subjective. But you can go with Parker with good results.
Make sure you don't have the configuration file on any of your usbs. You might be reloading old parameters if you boot up with the USB inserted.
Here is their online planner

Use the "AXIAL OFFSET PASSES" check box.
That's competition. Autodesk is a big player and bought up everything they could. Including my beloved Tsplines and HSMworks. They have done so much and give so much value I I dropped SW (still...
What "Engine Guy said. Use the 2D trace toolpath and you're good to go
Remove the Teleflex way covers. It is pretty easy but be careful. They are spring loaded.. What I do for mine is use vice grips to hold on to the spring and leave them on. The manifold assembly...
I've been using SW since 98. Never once had anyone ask about certifications. Just because you're "certified" doesn't know what you're doing. Some of the worst designers I worked with had their...
I paint everything the same color as scratched up oily paint. It helps hide all the scratches and oil stains.
Have you run a diagnostic of the memory? Are you able to manually program the machine? Does MDI work?
It seems counter intuitive but slower RPMs and faster feeds so you can get the material removed before it work hardens. I use high speed steel drill bits.
First thing i do is take off the stupid skirt they put on the front. I never understood that stupid skirt. I'm sure there's some reason but I'll never understand. Second... I put the forks...
Are you able to physically move the spindle? Check that the signal from the controller to the spindle amplifier is good.
Check your machine grounding. I had a heck of a time with "parity errors" that all went away when I moved the machine to the other side of the shop.
