    Re: My home built machine

    Hi MelvinBruce~

Saw your configuration and recognized it as being
nearly identical to the controller I built for my
Techno-Isel project. In fact, I used the same

    Hoss~

Is it my imagination or is this thread missing a ton of postings?

I just finished building a new cnc controller for my DaVinci but I'm out of town until next week -- which is why I asked. The

    Re: 1 micron lathe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Somewhat off-topic I guess, but Dan Gelbart's entire video series on YouTube is well worth the time.
He's very generous with his knowledge and expertise and I highly recommend it.

Missed the "H" in the first part number. Apologies.

That will let you check the pdf file for each drive to compare specs.

    AR1911~

Pplug is right. The config that AT gave you is a strong one. If you go this route I'd get the KL23H2100-35-4B stepper motors
instead of the KL232100-30-4B. The 3.5A version of the these...

All things considered, you may be better off getting another PC breakout board. Wantai Motor has them on eBay for $15.00.

Re: Replacing Z-Axis Stepper Motor with Laser

    Hi jmsiefer~

How is the laser turned on and off?

The EasyDriver uses 4 wires to drive the stepper coils (2 wires for each coil). Each time you step the drive it energizes the pins.
