    Re: Tormach PCNC 770 - Mach 3 - Windows 10

In my previous post linking to a blog, the author is running a 64-bit system (Lenovo M70E, E7500) with the 5i25 card (PCIe). It would appear the 32-bit drivers are working on his 64-bit system?

    Re: Tormach PCNC 770 - Mach 3 - Windows 10

From this blog post (Testing Surplus PC’s On Linux CNC & PathPilot 1.9.X / PathPilot V2.0 – The Personal Blog Of Steven L. Rhine), it seems as though PP works on 64-bit systems.

    The author is...

    Re: Tormach PCNC 770 - Mach 3 - Windows 10

Thanks CL, I just found a thread on discussing how the PP install is both PP and the customized linux all in one.

I saw a document released by Tormach for upgrading to PP with an outside system. ...

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the input.

@jwatte: Do you know if the mesa card you listed is compatible with windows 10 64-bit? I can't seem to find anything on mesa's website. To me, as the...

    Tormach PCNC 770 - Mach 3 - Windows 10

Recently, my old Win XP machine died. It ran Tormach's version of Mach 3 using the parallel port. I haven't had much luck locating an older PC with Windows 7 or older, 32-bit with parallel port. I...

    Re: Chinese CNC Lathe

I seem to be getting a lot private messages on how the lathe is working out, so here's a short review after roughly 6 months:

I honestly think it has been a fantastic machine for the money. I've...

Re: CNCMakers.com Servo Motor and Drive

I insisted on using PayPal, and the response I got was that they take 4% of the money, and it takes a long time for them to receive payment. Seems like a flimsy excuse.

    I also asked for the...

Here's a photo of the first part I turned on the machine. Nothing fancy, a few steps in a 6061 aluminum shaft. I just grabbed a random HSS tool bit I had laying around, and guessed on the feeds. ...

I thought Bolton was very responsive with the purchasing, and has been quite responsive as well with the latest GSK controller bug I've found. They were very helpful in finding a freight terminal...

    Chinese CNC Lathe

I haven't been able to find much on the CNC lathes distributed by Bolton Tools / Toolots. As much as I hate to say it, I'm considering one of their machines for a number of reasons.
