Hi Martin,
You say your machine is low end, are you sure its capable of machining alum? You may find at 2mm depth of cut it may struggle. However assuming it can cope I would advise to stay with...
Yep remember reading that and I do admire his work also.
2 schools of thought here, 1) he unfortunately had a Friday machine or 2) he is chasing tolerances far tighter than maybe others would...
I think the point ger21 is trying to make is, is the quality of the cad data into the cam software good? If your putting faceted circular lines for example into c-carve then that's what you will...
I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but if your asking if do you need to be able to vary your spindle speed between cutters then yes absolutely..

I'll be interested to know how you get on with fusion cam for your router. I use Edgecam for my router but just taught myself how to use fusion for modelling (arcade cabinets mainly), but wondered if...
I think it's simply the fractional dwell that the tool takes when changing direction for those tabs, which is why I suggest to radial off slightly if you can.

Look like dwell marks, I assume your running in auto and not single blocking?
If so try adding a radial in/out at these profile points , this will stop the minute dwell the cutter has on the profile...

Do you hear any relays click in when you command an m03 in mdi ?
Dave,
You seem to have the same issue both matthew and I had.. Although JCUT sorted Mattews out by logging in, mine however needed some re-wiring, which i did after some googling (see my thread on...
