Re: Help mounting motor on Techno DaVinci

The motor mounts to a stand-off/adapter (square block item) and the stand-off/adaptor mounts to the plate on the side of the machine.
The motor has a coupler on the shaft that also interlocks to it...

    Starwalt's Build

I am a long time builder/commenter and now nearing the end of the journey.
Here are a couple pics of the mostly built project -- bone stock pretty much.

Re: Y-Axis loses location during run

Thanks Dave. I found some of the typos (and I am sure others did too) and passed them on to Bob.
He actually has an errata/typo thread here I think.

I got the windows installed in the flip up lid...

    Re: CNC improvements

There are several variables to your questions.

    What Software are you using?
What motor drive are you using?
What is the runout of your spindle/router?
Are the parts uniform? i.e. is the 49.4 x...

    Re: Matt's Expanded Momus Build

    Nice work!
There seems to be a trend in expanding the Momus.
I have kept to the original size and am in the base/top painting/finishing mode.
Metal work is 98% or so done.
    Electronics about 85%...

  9. Re: Travis' Momus (aka the slow long running build)

    How gooey is the goo?

If it is like cold syrup, you could try putting all the scraped out goo into a disposable container, mix in the rest of the 'right' material and salvage the stuff,
    You would...
  10. Re: Travis' Momus (aka the slow long running build)

My 'fix' is to take some of the scrap that has the beveled top edge and put it in where i made the mistake.

    Clever!
This would depend on the spacer/washer combinations to give a tight fit in the tube spacing.
For those of us who are building, that is minor compared to the benefit of an easier adjustment....
