Hello,
Fairly new here, I'm just starting out to build a CNC plasma table. I say starting out, I've bought nothing yet.
My plan is to use a rack and pinion drive. I'm in the UK and currently...
Had much better results today using a 2mm ball nose cutter at 0.2mm depth, running 3500 rpm's and F30 plunge and F100 feed.
I'm using a 3mm at the same feed and speed doing a 1mm cut deep cut. Using flood coolant. But get a terrible finish. I thought I needed a fast speed. Maybe not.
I've tried that, but i'm struggling to spin it fast enough I think. I cannot get a good finish in aluminium. My max spindle speed is 3000rpm's. I've been feeding at approx 50mm per min with a 2 flute...

Will try that, is there any way to make my current cutters work? I've got lots of 4 flute end mills.
Hello,
I'm having problems with my end mills getting "clogged" on alluminium then the finish is poor.
I'm using a 3mm 4 flute carbide end mill at 3500rpm's. Using a feed rate of 60mm per...
