Had a probe act up. When someone changed the batteries they held the probe and change the settings.might want to look into that.

We did the upgrade from V-29 to V-30 on Monday
Didn't take me to long to to start making programs.
I did not think the upgrade would be such a time saver
Started running programs in the mills on...
Bobcad I will look into that
I have 5'000 .dxf drawings that we had in are Haas clasic control. Is there a program out there that I can use to make them .jpeg and be able to put notes on them
so I can view them in the Next Gen...
when you go threw the calibration steps then your machine will work just like the video. Do you have a classic control or the Next Gen control?
They took it out (was a great thing why would the take it out?)
May need to look at other options for next machine (we use that all the time on Lathe)
Back to the start has anyone figured out how to load a .dxf file on a Next generation control?
Sounds to me like we are in the same line of work
Haas Clasic control (that is what I can not find in Next Gen Control
https://diy.haascnc.com/reference-docs/mill-dxf-and-ips-programming
Every time we get a new machine it's running parts in 2 to 3 days
That is the classic control. It is a nice control have no problem)
The new Haas came with next gen control nothing is the same (some stuff I like but if I can't load my .dxf file it's worthless)
Is there a way to load a .DXF file on a haas with next gen Control?
26. Set debug comments for post editing
debug_ON
use that turn it off safe post, post out your code and you can see were stuff is at.make sure to copy post before you make any changes.
On Next Gen control how do I load a .dxf file?
was easy on the classic control.
If you don't have the memory you have to run from Floppy you do not load it into memory. It's kinda of like a drip feed
I don't let Window update it's not worth the trouble to me.
In V-29 watch your drill depths. If you move the part and update all geomtetries your drill depth will go back to factory settings also same withl c-bore and taps I'm glad I double check everything
Ok just want to make sure I'm thinking right. When we set up a tool in the offset page we always put the tool rad in the offset page.
My thing is when we program at the machine with MDI it will ask...
We have had that happen a few times .From an overload to the spindle
The Fix was to stop the machine in the middle of a tool change with E-stop and change, line up the keys and change a parameter...
After you set your tools to that 123 block . did you set z0 at the top of your wood block? might want the H2D2on the next line
That is a good plan
but the haas don't need sequence numbers
that just for the guy running the machine to have a place to jump
into a program. why would they jump in at a M88 line?
they will ...
That was talked about go to the Haas mills and your see it

So true without the customers for sure.
Man I have all the drive cards for a Boss5 and a control panel I need to unload But they don't have that # on any of them
I would make 2 programs to do that myself
You need a sharp cutter for alum. that step tells me your cutter is not sharp
Invalid your com port is wrong or parity check them
I think I under stand what you want Go to your pos go to line 26 and turn debug on. Make sure you make a cop of you post before you do this just fin the line that give's you the problem and change it...
We have a 2 year old TL3 lathe that has always had a problem with the tail stock moving away from the chuck, When drilling holes or cutting with centers it will walk back.Only thing we can do to stop...
