So I haven't had a chance to test this out yet (as I'm still getting my new electrical enclosure together, but what frequency can the pass through ports handle (ports 4 or 5)?
Thanks. Will do the shielded wire for sure. But for a few bucks, it's nice to have terminals to connect and I have plenty IDC26 cable laying around. LOL, i knew keeping those old computer stuff...
So I'm thinking about just using this to breakout the port 4 or 5 IDC header for my encoder. You think it should be OK for this purpose?

Thanks VRASAK, I appreciate the information. For some reason, I never got any notification of this last reply, but just decided to check today.
Anyway, based on your very first post, it was...
Thanks, but forgot to mention I'm using a quadrature encoder for spindle PID and rigid tapping. So the PPR will be much higher on the A/B channels. Currently the C11G board I'm using has 4MHz...
Thanks Gerry. I didn't know contacting CNC room would go to the person making the UB1. Message sent. Will post back here any info just in case someone else is interested.
Hello. Recently purchased the UB1 and long time UC300ETH/UCCNC user. I can't seem to find out any info on the switching frequency of the isolated inputs on the UB1 and don't see any non-isolated...
Are we talking the Consew controller or DMM?. Also which board are you using for speed control? If it outputs a 0-10v signal, your best and safest bet is to buy a KBSI-240D as it gives isolation and...
Good luck with any support from her/him whatever he is now. That is an overpriced kit and same parts can be had on Amazon for 114ish for motor and 10 bucks for an XL 20 tooth for spindle and XL40...
Added a mister cylinder to my setup and then someone pointed out that Haas makes an MQL just like it. So I didn't rip it off intentionally, but it works...LOL Since this video I've swapped to a...
Actually you should see a screw on the top and bottom of the Z saddle (right hand side) and that has the brass gib in between them. Best thing to do is rapid it back and forth and watch for hang...
Thanks!
Yes, my spindle (timing belt driven R8 1 to 2 ratio) was way too much for the servo to handle in step/direction and kept faulting out, so had to use speed mode and analog 0-10v signal. ...
I have zero issues with my 386in/oz from Automation Direct and also a G540 with UC300ETH. And I'm running a 1 HP motor, R8 spindle with power draw bar.
Another thing to check is see if your Z gib...

Here's another video explaining the build a little more. And some renders from my CAD for the mounts and PDB. Also vids on my channel of the new PDB foot pedal I installed a few weeks back. Uses...
Odd, I never received any email notifications of responses on this thread.
The R8 spindle was made by a friend and myself and another friend designed the power drawbar setup for it, the motor...

I posted another manufacturer and calculator on your other thread and gave you all the info to put in to find exactly what you are looking for. These are tried and true numbers many of us on the...
I bored mine out. Grinding the shaft would be a bad idea.
FYI, you want to be convinced at what a Consew can do? Check out my Youtube channel

I'm currently using a G540 on my mill. But I decided to try the closed loop steppers from Automation Tech (made by Leadshine) and they are fantastic. Sure, they are not true servos nor have closed...
FYI, amazon has the cheapest price on the Consew CSM1100. Lot of information about them on the Taig Facebook group too.
Here you go: https://www.bbman.com/belt-length-calculator/
I used the XL series, .375 belt width, 20 tooth on ER16 spindle and 40 tooth on the Consew. Depending on your mount, 3.75-4.25" center...
Thought there might be some interest here. Yes, my videos suck...LOL...you don't have to say it. But it's hard to hold the camera and do the feed override. Tripod gets in the way. Need one of...
Thanks! Appreciate the feedback. This is this stuff I wanted to know.
Forum acting screwy and made a double post after an error...oh well.
So is this control board any good? I just got one from Ebay with motor for $200. Mine has 2008-4-8 and SL-1100-1 (5.1) marked on it, but not the Syil on it. It's new old stock and I'm worried the...

Hello.
Someone is on eBay selling these as new in the box 1100 watt motors with a manufacture date of Sept 2008. Apparently the Automation Tech guy or someone involved decided to finally dump...
