im making my parts from billet 1018. im going to ruff the tapered hole stair steeped and then finish the hole using g13's
are you using them like a reamer? or are you interpolating?
going to go with award tool .5 small od. 1.25 loc carbide tialn coated.

your right. the tech did change something for me. how are us old school machinist suppose to set up are machines if we cant put our head in the machine. lol

depending on what you are trying to accomplish. indexable tooling seems to work best for me. then finishing with 5 flute endmills
try overlapping more, and you could try going the same direction. also try 3 or 2 flute end mill.
