There's a guy local to me that builds custom cabinets and furniture. He has pallets of 4'x8' sheets of this stuff. He lets me buy it at his cost. You can buy it in small 12"x12" pieces from...
Here's another project I just finished. It still needs a coat of mineral oil, but other than that, it's done. It's a watch case for the wife...

I glued 2 pieces of 3/4" bamboo together for the bottom...then machined it out.

Hey guys...I just thought I would share a few of the things I have made recently on my new machine. I'm always looking for ideas, so I thought I would share these things with you guys in case you are...
It's a VistaCNC Pendant. Their website is vistaCNC. The model number is P4-S. Works great...and I'm using Mach4. Not all the functions are working just yet, but the guy who makes them is working on...
It's layered bamboo plywood. This **** is EXPENSIVE. A 4'x8' sheet is about $205 plus shipping from Green building, construction materials and home decor: Cali Bamboo. Luckily, I found a guy here...
I forgot to mention the size of my linear rails/bearings. I used the HGR25 rail with the HGH25 bearings. I did not want to use the wide flanged bearings (HGW25), but you can use them with the same...
I used mostly 3/4" Mic 6 aluminum. There are a few small pieces of 1/2" and 3/8" as well. But the vast majority is 3/4" Mic 6. I had my ballscrews custom machined by Chai at linearmotionbearings2008...
I haven't machined any 6061 with the new machine yet, but I have machined the motor mount spacers from Mic 6. I just did that this morning. This machine is more rigid and heavy than the last machine....
To cut all those 3/4" Mic 6 aluminum plates, I used the Amana 1/4" or 1/8" Single Flute end mills. I would usually run about 40 IPM with both diameter end mills. DOC for 1/8" was 1mm. DOC for 1/4"...
I think it looks great. With regard to the last comment about the Z looking a little too high...I thought the same thing about my design...but in the end it all worked out fine. I have a tall Z as...
It's an end mill block. I designed it in Fusion 360.
Here's a few things I have made recently...
That's the hardest part of this CNC hobby for me...coming up with cool stuff to make. I have made some cool stuff, but I run out of ideas. I have made all kinds of cool wood, acrylic, and aluminum...
The spoilboard is finished as of this morning. I used Rockler T-tracks. They are 4" between centers. I used a base of 3/4" MDF. The MDF between the t-tracks is 1/2". The height of each t-track is...
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I am almost done with my t-track spoilboard. I will post some pics of it very soon.
Justin
Thanks a bunch robe_uk...I appreciate the compliments.
Justin
Everything is complete. I have finished all the wiring, air line, cable carriers, etc. Everything is tidy and running properly. The only thing left to do is complete my t-track spoilboard. I will...
How about Baileigh? I here they are good...

I had a feeling that it was a parameter causing your problems. I'm glad you figured it out. Have fun!
Justin
Well, if it's powering up, you got the input power right. I would suspect that this is a parameter issue. You should do a reset on the VFD and then go through all the parameters again. Before you do...
Here is what you need...

What terminals do you have your HOT-HOT-NEUTRAL plugged into? Have you gone through all the parameters and set them properly?

By the way, you do NOT need the...
This is what I use. Seems to work fine. The flow is low going through the spindle, but I think that's due to the small passage ways in the spindle...NOT the pump. The pump is not cheap, but quality....
I appreciate your help mactec...we got it done yesterday. The VFD is powered up and working fine. Thank the Lord!
Justin
The cable is junk? Even at 10 AWG? Interesting... Thanks for the advice. You the man!
Justin
Thanks for your help mactec...I appreciate it. I understand that "ideally" I should be using something like this Twist Lock that you showed, but can I just go ahead and use the plug/cord I showed in...
Hey guys...I'm sure it's been covered many times, but I can't find the info I'm looking for. I am having my brother (who is an electrician) come over tomorrow morning to help me run 240V power to my...
Whatever dude...
