Yes, I had successfully run one of those servos using VSD-A drive http://granitedevices.fi/index.php?id=8 but unfortunately this drive is not produced any more.

I'm assuming you are talking here for the 1000w sanyo motors. I have 4 of those and also planning to buy some fluxeons but I can't find any...

Although, I've read somewhere that on most multiple start screws just one or two circuits(4 start screws) are loaded with balls....
