    Re: tool plunges into workpiece

Hi Superman, you write: ". And it seems to be programmed manually ( your spacing formats, no Feedrate on a G01 move)..." Well this is the unedited code that Madcam genereates. (I may point to you...

    Re: tool plunges into workpiece

I have defined 0;0;0 as top of stock, this works easiest in Madcam. Clearance is set at 3mm and retract I dont know. But madcam lets me specify a "safe Z" which I set at 5mm. As you see in the code,...

    tool plunges into workpiece

    Hi folks,
I have this issue: I am milling with a 2mm flat endmill into silver. I set the Z feed to 20. But Madcam plunges the tool with a G00 move into the material, sometimes causing a tool break....

    Re: PP for Camotics/ Buildbotics

My programming skills... I'd rather no go there. Rather pay for a solution that I can trust to work.

    Re: PP for Camotics/ Buildbotics

Oh, absolutely. Madcam is a CAM plugin for Rhnoceros, and what this subforum is about. And PP is the postprocessor that Madcam uses to translate its toolpath into an actual Gcode dialect.

    PP for Camotics/ Buildbotics

    Hi, everybpdy,
I am tempted to buy a Buildbotics controller/ driver. It runs on camotics, Camotics says it runs a subset if LinuxCNC code. Here is the Camotics Gcode overview:...

    Hi Tristen
I sorted it out with help of Madcam support. Joakim is very friendly, but not very active on this forum. Email him, that might help.

    Re: Rhino 7 compatibility

    Re: No Gcode saved

    Dear all,
I am pleased to say the saving problem has been solved. I removed all madcam layers from the Rhino file then saved the file. From there I closed all programs, restarted windows and then I...

    No Gcode saved

    Dear forum users, dear Joakim,
Madcam at once does not save the toolpaths anymore. In the Postprocess window it says it did save the toolpath file, but nothing was saved. Also tried saving to a...

Re: Cutting occurs outside region curve

Hi, I am having the same problem and it drives me mad. Whateven I try, Madcam will cut outside the region. Do I have to offset the region curve with [cutter diameter]/2?
  14. Re: None of the 2D Curve Options have any effect

    Hi MitchB,
Just a guess- if your curve is open there is no way for Madcam to know inside from outside.

    rotary on cut3d?

I presume that cut3d works on the same engine as the other vectric titles. Then, may I assume that the rortary gadget could also be applied within cut3d? That would be neat.
