Are you sure you are not over tightening the collet? Try spinning the tool holder real slow to see if there is any noticeable wobble.

I have looked into having hardinge replace the spindle bearings. I was quoted about $7,000.00 plus shipping to and from N.Y. The bearings alone are about $2,000.00 available from CNC Machine Tool...

It is actually Gosiger with one "s" not 2. They are recommended by hardinge. Good luck.
