  4. Re: Storing and lifting 4' by 8' sheets onto machine?

Dont know what your overhead ceiling construction is but a guy built a small gantry system on a rail to load his machine. It was on here a few years ago. It would pick the sheets from a pile leaned...
  5. Sticky: Re: Router Bits and EndMills: Pictures, Descriptions, and Uses

Hopefully this is a quick one for a guru..

Buddy needs 3/16 acrylic cut with a 20deg edge. He has given me a 20 deg, tapered endmill, 3 flute. At the tip it is 0.125" with a 0.500" depth/cutting...

Re: NEED - Air Deflector for Bosch 1617evs?

I actually did end up 3d printing one. I will see if I still have the STL for it (on an old PC) an upload it somewhere.

It was great at keeping the router exhaust from throwing chips and dust...

Re: Metal filings on Gear Rack

:D I will buy the spray. Closest thing I have to child labor is a nephew with the attention span of a gnat, lol.

Maybe I could get him to do it if I told him "NOT" to do it?

Re: Metal filings on Gear Rack

I have the 4824 machine, I noticed the same dust on 2 of my 3 gear racks. I have always ran it dry b/c of dust concerns I have read about. So I contacted CNCRP and they got back to me super quick...

    Re: Locator Pins/Dowels Sources?

Nahh, I think I wrapped it in cardboard, locked it in my vise and used a hacksaw (cut close to the vise so it doesn't bend).

    Re: Locator Pins/Dowels Sources?

Ok, dont judge me, lol... I'm super cheap, save everything and needed some pins in a hurry so I used the steel shafting from an old inkjet printer..

Re: Jogging is occasionally running away

I made it out to the garage today and powered up the CNC. First I want to say thanks guys! Sure enough the problem was me releasing the [ Shift key ] before the [ Arrow key ] for rapid mode. What a...

Re: Jogging is occasionally running away

Ok, I will give this a try next time I have the machine running. It makes total sense because I do use "rapid mode" with the Shift key. I will have to try and remember to release the Arrow before the...

    Jogging is occasionally running away

Jogging is occasionally running away, no pun intended.

I jog the machine using my Wired USB keyboard, it stops when I jog the axis in the other direction. Seems like its only happening when I jog...

Re: rack and pinion interference issue

Can't tell whats going on with your pinion, your right side looks to be the same clearance as I have on both (1/8" ~ish). I would pull both sides and compare the parts.

I like what ya did with the...

Finished building it in January and still haven't broke it in. Saved up extra coin for the Pro instead of Standard for months too..
  17. Re: Just Finished Build of PRO4896 but can't jog machine to test

I actually installed mine incorrectly also :p

The steel rails are not cut exactly the same lengths, this is why the bumper mounts are in different directions. After reading that someone with much...

  19. Where do you order your Polycarbonate and Acrylic online?

I'm in the US and the best price I have found thus far is $39 for a (.500" x 12" x 24") Polycarbonate Sheet.

Anyone know of better prices online? Maybe a random Ebay-er that sells offcuts I should...

NEED - Air Deflector for Bosch 1617evs?

I just finished assembling my first machine...
  30. Re: New Machine Build CRP4848 -Question on Table size

I just welded up a base for my PRO 4824. The width has to be 49" max b/c of the way the V-con rails and E-chain trays mount to the bottom of the side extrusions.
