  3. Re: Can UC100 Run At 400Khz So 6040 Spindle Runs 24,000 RPM

No experience with the UC100, but the Spindle is usually controlled via a 0-10VDC signal from the Motion Card.

Re: Designing new Router called Maximus

Not worth waiting to see if there is a problem before you fix it?
You may be making it more complex than you need to?
Find a fix IF you have Backdrive.
    .....dunno.....just thinking out loud....

Hi Peter, Have you asked the question to the supplier? Maybe they will relent and sell you a smaller quantity. Worth an email, me thinks.....

  11. Re: Issue with A-axis on Chinese Workbee Stb5100

Try disconnecting the Y and A axis steppers from the ball Screws ( lead screws?) and observe how they behave. Do they turn in the correct directions and run at the same speeds?

Re: Pros and Cons of Using Dual Z Axis Drive

Less Spindle overhang and simpler Spindle mount as well , but I see what you mean.
The complexity and cost do not justify the possible gains.

    It was just a thought.....lol

Re: Pros and Cons of Using Dual Z Axis Drive

Sorry, I tried to find a pic of what I was thinking about but couldn't find one.

Seeing as I have to extend the leads anyway, I may just buy shielded cable and repalce the lot.
