I had the same thing happen to one mold but I just blow the ABS up into a bubble then vacuum pull it, gets most of it out and most of the time there's none.
I'm going to be making RC quadcopter frames and movie props.
I have all my friends making plugs so I will be vac forming for them as well.
Well I have been busy building other things and the latest is a Vacuum Forming Machine.

Hi all
I'm still floating around in the background, been busy with all my hobbies.
Been helping my brother lately with his HM46 cnc milling machine.
You won't find things cheap in Aussie in the way of spindles, linear bearing guides or ball screws.
Go to linearnmotionbearings on eBay, cheap prices and reliable site in china.
Mach3 has some samlpes you can try under Gcode file or just cut some simple shapes out to try.
You can have both programs on the same pc but don't have both open at the same time.
On my pc it's seems to crash if both are open.
You should close all programs before using mach3, any...
Otar your hyjacking this thread, you should start a new thread.
I use mach3 and artcam but not together as it will crash one of them.
So if you have them on the same pc only open one of them at a...
Have you tried cutting something simpler in 2D first to sort out your problems before you tackle more advanced 3D.
Try this one.
PS-01 MeanWell 48Vdc 7.3A Switch Mode Power Supply [PS-01] - US$69.00 : Homann Designs!, The preferred CNC Component Supplier
looking at the board you just plug your usb cable in from the PC and that will supply it with 5Volt power.
Up to 50v supply for drivers, so mybe a 48volt power supply from ebay or electronics store.
linear bearings sell them but not sure on there pricing.
cheers
Maybe post some pictures of all your gear and something might pop up.
hard to guess when we dont know what your using, mach settings/controller card/drivers/pc/ might help abit.
cheers
What programme are you using for your Gcode.
Post your code so we can see if any thing is wrong.
cheers
It's the base for a door stopper at bunnings, I'm using a Mach3 screen set that i bought for the touch plate and tool change.
Still around, just got so many other hobbies.
Rc tricopter, quad copter and now stormtrooper armor build.
Cheers Michael
Glad I could help, I wasn't out to make this touch plate, I just saw it on the shelf and my mind started racing around until the light bulb popped up on my head.
I love it! 10 minute job all done,...

Not sure what you mean, but the thread is about everything I've done with this cnc router.

Yes that is correct.
This way you don't have to try and see when the mill end is touching the material or if you go down to hard you can mark the surface, if it's nice shiny aluminum.
Its to set the zero height of the material the easy way.
When you hit the zero probe button on you Mach screen the spindle comes down slowly and when it just touches the plate, it will offset the...
Here is the mod for touch plate and video testing.
I also glued a piece of PVC to insulate the bottom as its all metal.
The top plate is spring loaded so if your z axis doesn't stop you got split...
Hi guys
Went shopping at bunnings and found the perfect zero touch plate for $13.
Will call into jaycar tomorrow and pick up some curly cable.
Pictures to follow for this mod.
Stay tuned !
...
All I do is tape it with masking tape around the edges keeping it tight on some MDF, then adjust the bottom of the holder down so the blade just has enough depth to cut the vinyl and this also keeps...
Good to hear it's all up and running.
Cheers Michael
Hi
I just use radiator coolant , my clear tube will slightly discolor to white after 6 months.
Cheers. Michael
Hi Rory
Yes guides are top and bottom, you should be able to see in this thread on the pictures.
Cheers. Michael
Here is my other control stand.
This one is a spare which I will sell when finished.
Thought I would try a vertical keyboard so chips don't pile up on top, Don't really use the keyboard that much...
