Did you check your manual absolute setting?
Sent from my G8343 using Tapatalk
I don't see a G54 in the code there

Maybe you switched the setting for manual absolute, try changing that

Sounds like there is a value in the shift z on your work offset page, offset 00

Are you trying to run a BTR system for big files that don't fit in memory? Or just upload and download smaller programs? To establish rs232 comms I would manually enter a simple program into the...
Looks like you have the stop bits set wrong for input device 2. Your pics show you have device 2 set for 2 stop bits but in your post you say you are using a setting of 1 on the sending end....
It's not a parameter it's either a toggle switch or its on the setting page that has TV check and that stuff on it

Sounds like a manual absolute setting needs changing. I had a 10TF that was like that.

I have been thinking about this some more and maybe I need the tool changer recovery procedure for this machine to get unstuck. Does anyone have the recovery procedure for a makino fnc with fanuc 6m?...
Break the roughing into two canned cycles with m00 and comment between? Seems simpler to me

I would be using G28 U0. W0. And then tool change at home

Monitor the coil voltage with an analog meter during the issue and see if the voltage drops. I'd replace the contactor

Confirm the incoming power first. Use a clamp ammeter to check current draw on each leg while it's running. Check at the main supply into the machine (possible issue with power in the building). If...
If the thyristors keep blowing up you have a phase loss on the incoming power or an issue with the firing board.

There are multiple offset pages. Are you looking at the geometry page or the wear page? Measure and execute updates the geometry page on the 10T I ran for years

Update: I managed to get my hands on the original 4th axis that was integrated with the machine. I need a ladder diagram for the sequence controller and any documentation that's available for the...
As for the switches, I thought they might be sticking so I took them out and verified with a meter that I do get the correct binary output from both star wheels.
The battery pack is nominal 3.6...
This is the sequence controller and diagnostic display422668422670

The machine has what they call a sequence controller, made by fuji. I have no idea how to look at the logic it's running, but it does have 8 diagnostic LEDs on the side panel. I have a decoder book...
Well I got the 4th axis disabled as the picture shows. Still not able to get the tool changer to do anything. I can jog the axes around nicely, but can't get the spindle going yet, nor execute any...
The more I think about it, I think the plc is waiting for a clamp confirmation from the 4th axis (even though it's not there) . I will have to see if I can find which pins on the connector are clamp...
Sounds like the machines are very similar. I changed the parameter you suggested with no noticeable change in machine state. See attached photos. The plc diagnostic LEDs all flash when machine is...
Update - removed 4th axis board (A20B-0008-0470) from control cabinet leaving only alarm 424 y servo. The machine has inductosyn scale feedback, and after some digging a broken wire was discovered...
Working on a makino fnc 106 with a fanuc 6 control, getting alarm 424 y servo, alarm 444 a servo, and alarm 703 over heat. Machine was a 4 axis but 4th was removed. I have turned on 4th neglect on...
That sounds to me like a feed over ride knob that has a bad connection on one of the bits causing the machine to think it should be feeding extremely slow. You should be able to use diagnostics to...
Update on this /need help!
After spending more time on this machine I have discovered that when you first turn it on in the morning it will work fine for the first half hour or so. It shifts...
Update - called fanuc America and the support guy gave me the parameter numbers over the phone! Backlash is 115 & 116, and G30 is 159 & 160. Just in case anybody else wanted to know

Hello all, hope someone here can help. Working on a machining centre and the spindle will not orient for a tool change or m19, it just spins. The machine has beta motors and drives, and there is a...
Will the machine execute program blocks in memory mode?
