Hello,
Our transmission is leaking oil. Before I blindly start unbolting everything, what kind of job is it getting this off and fixing it? I assume it needs a new seal, but won't really know...
At least I was of some use today! Glad I could help. Hope it goes well.
I have no idea how to look at the contents of the file. So, here it is, for what it's worth.
The encoder for the feed wheel on the control panel is starting to get wonky. It has HEDS-5700 C10 on it. I'm looking for one but it is an obsolete part it seems. Does anyone know of an equivalent...
Hi. The HDD got corrupted on our lathe. I went to re-install the software and it installed fine. The software comes on after boot and the machine homes and rapids fine. However, whenever I try to do...
All of a sudden, the wipers on our Bridgeport VMC are breaking off after just a few years of little use. No damage, just breaking off. Maybe way lube getting to them? I was wondering what you have...
Hello. We have an old EZTrak DX 2 axis machine. An issue that has come up is that most mornings, when I power up that machine, both x&y axis head for home at the same time. This will happen until the...
The error is "Spindle Not Up to Speed in Time". It is intermittent. Sometimes it will do it while changing gears. Sometimes at a tool change. Sometimes at a spindle stop. it all make me wonder if...
Thanks for replying and for the password, it works!
Unfortunately, the problem seems to get worse for us as the day goes by. I'm beginning to think it might be a problem connected with the encoder...
Our Torq-cut TC3g is doing the spindle timeout error when changing tools and sometimes when changing into the higher gear. The book said to try editing parameter 193, but it requires a password. I've...
After having to replace the hard drive, I reinstalled the EZ-PATH software, trying two different versions.
Version 2.22: After installing, the machine would boot up just fine and the BMDC...
Hi. I have been having some issues with our Ez Path 2 lathe. Here is what is happening, and usually on a threading cycle, is that when the z axis begins it's movement, everything stops and there is...
The electrician went to fish out the cable for the encoder and found a connector for it that had managed to unscrew itself and come apart. The connector for the X axis was about to come apart too....
The Z axis on our lathe works on jogging and feeding. However, the manual wheel does not work. How does one test an encoder? I looked at the encoder and see that the cable is integrated with the...
Ok, I'm silly at times. And can't resist a good (or bad) pun. So, for fun, let's get the puns rolling.
For starts:
I was needing to talk to someone about putting a keyway in a bore, but...
I disconnected the green connector on the AUXBOB board and the red led on both axis went out. I then swapped the drive connectors on the two axis and the red led came on on the y axis drive board. I...
Hi,
Our old ez-trak dx 2 axis machine is giving the 'axis drive fault' error when trying to home the axis. I will try to outline all that we have done so far.
We have had the electrician...
Well, the solution was too simple. At least, I'm guessing what happened. I had to take out the cpu card 4 times. Once to replace the cpu fan and 3 times to get the reset on the right jumper wires....
Reset problem was that I put the jumper in the wrong place, so that is no longer an issue.
It just seems odd to me that things will run on the maintenance page but not on the regular pages. A...
Holding the reset button for 5 seconds did nothing. Have to see if it's the button itself or bios.
I just found another thing. I tried pushing the reset button to reboot the computer, and nothing. It has worked recently. Could that somehow be connected to the problem?
I can jog with the +/- buttons in the maintenance page. In the regular pages, I cannot do anything but home axis and jog with the hand wheel. Example, if I enter T2M6, I just hear a click from the...
I had started this thread
http://www.cnczone.com/forums/bridgeport_hardinge_mills/161691-any_recommendations_repair_torq_cut.html
I was thinking that I was needing a repair service, but, if by...
Here is what happens when I turn the machine on.
Everything is normal at start-up. The axis will home just as they should. At this point I usually get a 'Re-load tools' error. So, I go to...
I was wondering if anyone has had any experience or can recommend a repair service for an old Torq cut mill? I have just had the BMDC board and power supply repaired thinking it was the problem. ...
I have tried reseating the BMDC board, checking the PSU on the CIB. All to no avail. In running the Analog test again, I noticed that it's all of the axis, not just the Z axis.
Any ideas? Bad...
Hi, Not sure if this is a BMDC problem or what. The mill was running and then the table stopped but the spindle kept running. Pushing the start/stop button just made clicks. I tried turning the...
I tweaked parameter 71 to get the rpm the same as the input and managed to keep the S0M3 at 1 rpm. I'm so glad that I didn't have to figure out how to do the parameters in the yaskawa drive.
...
The weekend is over, back to work now.
I did the S0M3 (which was way to obvious for me to understand :D), and the spindle moves at what the monitor says 1RPM. Now, I'm confused. You mentioned...
Thanks for the reply.
Now, what is a S0M3 and how would I check that?
Thanks again,
Greg
