Re: Okuma Howa lathe Fuji Spendle drive

    Hi Chuo,
In order for you to have any chance of gaining advice/help, you will need to supply a lot more information please.
    What alarm specifically?
What, if any, alarm lights are on on the...
  2. Re: please, i search infos for G140 141 13 14 P M100

P codes within shape definitions are used to synch both turrets during the cycle.
The P codes within the shape defined do not have to be sequential to the P codes with in the main program.
    if you...
  3. Re: please, i search infos for G140 141 13 14 P M100

Definitely need to insert P codes into your program.
P codes will dictate the sequence of operations when operating mutliple turrets.
Not having ever worked on Multiple Spindle machines, I cannot...

    Re: U10L Floppy Read/Write Problem

Generally the DB25 pin port will be on the outside of the electrical cabinet. Have a look on the outside, maybe near the main switch?

  6. Re: Okuma Millac 415V Fanuc 21i control, EX524 s-Function

While it looks like you have an OKUMA machine your contoller is a FANUC.
Your coding you posted is definitely Fanuc.
You would be best to move this post to a Fanuc forum,

    Re: resetting X 0

ALL the Lathes I have used have all had their X0 set to the centreline of the ID Toolholder pots.
i.e. Drills have a X0 tool offset, Z offset is as required (Difference between your Z0 tool and the...
  8. Re: Okuma LNC8C Lathe - Better Understanding of System/User Parameters

A different point of view on Aldirgas's instructions would be this:
Using your "Z" Zeroset tool (on Z this tool has a Zero (0) Offset)
Rather than using MDI to move your tool into position on the...
  9. Re: Okuma LNC8C Lathe - Better Understanding of System/User Parameters

Seems like your machine is doing exactly what you have set it to do.
Move Z between Z-0.0800" to Z7.4800" as these are your SOFT Limits!
Try ADDing a small amount to either of your Z limits and see...
  10. Re: Okuma LNC8C Lathe - Better Understanding of System/User Parameters

    Hello,
The difference between Stroke End Limit and the Variable Limit is that, as you say, the Stroke End Limit is the LIMIT before hitting the stroke END Limit switches.
    Where as the Variable...

Simple, program using cutter radius compensation as it is designed to be used.
i.e. rather than programming centreline cutting and then trying to use a negative value for your cutter comp, program...

  13. Re: Okuma OSP5020 RS232 Machine to Machine communication

You are totally missing the point that this control is nearing on 40+ years old!
Back when I worked on them, (Yes I am an old dinosaur) the only information you could transmit was plain text files....
  14. Re: Okuma OSP5020 RS232 Machine to Machine communication

Kitty Kitty, once again, you are not looking at the full information!
They have specified their machine has a OSP5020 control which is late 1980's vintage... Nothing like your modern P300 series...

On the P series controller, these items are usually displayed from the RH Side menu, not via the parameters page.

    Re: Servo driven tailstock programming

Yep that is true, but on the machines I have used with G152, the M codes are built in to the G152 command.
The W axis is the setable tailstock position.

    Wrong Kitty,
M56 Extends the Tailstock Quill - Not the whole tailstock
    M55 Retracts the Tailstock Quill

In the past, I have used G152 Wxxx to move our tailstock into position, but that tailstock...

Re: LB15 - Location of proximity sensors

Pretty sure you will find two prox switches located at the end of the chuck draw tube.
These switches are used to detect Open and Closed position.
Can't recall if they need to be both on or On/Off...
  24. Re: LB15 Whacked chuck and all Tools are above center.

LB15 model is a very old model... probably around the 1980's or 90's
At most it may have a M spindle but that would be it.
  25. Re: LB15 Whacked chuck and all Tools are above center.

Mount your dial indicator in a solid block gripped in the chuck.
Do NOT use just a magnetic base as they can, and usually do, move!
Holding the dial guage in the chuck gives you good repeatability...

check that the suction side of the pickup in the tank is clear.
Had this same error on my machine recently and the pickup was dirty for some reason.
A quick clean and no more alarm.
