Mac,
So motor is good, and v/f mode seems to work okay. I looked into inverter motors and they might be a future investment. Wondering why svl mode didn't work.
Thanks for the tips!

Thanks Mac,
I've talked to a few more people today and I've a feeling that might be what happened. I have not been back to the shop but I'll test the motor straight to the 3 phase first thing....
Jim, Skrubol,
Thanks for you replies, I stalled on a 1/2'' rougher in aluminum block, obviously something was wrong.
I took Jim's idea and ran with it: After finding I nuked my VFD by power...
Thanks Tom,
I'll experiment with the example codes and ADC inputs.
Okay, Thanks guys. I'll give Kmotion closer look.
Still wondering where I can input these devices? And what bits to access them on Kanalog. JP6.
Thanks
Hello all,
So i've retrofitted a old acer mill and built a pendent to control, using mach3 and Kflop/Kanalog.
I'm not familiar with C programming so I've gotten myself in a pickle with Kflop so...
That is great to hear, but what worries me is that I'm pretty sure I did do that when setting up the VFD. The pully ratio doesn't help but I'll check it again. What size pullys are you using?
...
Thanks, that helps. I was worried about the pulley ratio, seemed too much. I looked around and seems my VFD is capable of vector mode, but double check me:
408318
I purchased a hulk of an knee mill Acer 4vk that had somewhat been cannibalized, missing break lever, gear shift knob ect.
Thinking I knew what I was doing I put in a VFD, and an 8" pully at the...
Trying to make a auto tool zero button work, with a limit switch.
Dynomotion Kflop driven limits and motors.
Mach3, ports and pins, probe activated, set to kflop board pin 24. Switch works in...
M_C,
This is just getting better! I ran chose to use j4 which have the pull down resistors when the switch is open, and ran 3.3 volts to one side of of all my limits and the other to the inputs, on...
There's got to be a ground in there some where right? So 5v to switch, to input, to ground. Current flow when the switch is closed, driving the input high. 10k ohm between the switch and ground to...
Tom Kerekes,
If you not going to answer my questions in a correct and helpful way, just don't Post anything!

Then how do I drive the inputs high?
Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Actively driven as in current from the 5 volt source to the input when the switch is closed, and pulled low with a resistor when open. J7 inputs have internal resistors.

Are the inputs on the KFLOP sinking or sourcing?
So I have J7 pins 0-7 to Normally closed limit switchs, from j7 5v back to the 0-7 pins. And I dont see where the copy to c program sets them as inputs.
Tom,
So some progress with the axes,
I have my limit switches on pins 0-7, but they seem to be floating in my Digital I/O screen, and I'm not seeing any C commands setting them at inputs, except...
So all Axis move both directions when commanded by Kflop console. It's something in the C file between Kflop and MACH3.
Thanks, for you help All.
Yes, I'm using Step/Dir.
No Open Collector, they work independent of Kflop / mach3. I think it's something in the .C program...
MC,
You were correct. I changed the output channels to corresponding axis and Mach3 responded.
Any idea why my axis only move in 1 direction? Must have been something I might have deleted in the .c...
So I'm defiantly using open collector mode, but I'm not clear on how you associated j7 19/20 with generator 2.

Tom,
Thanks for that, I was able to upload the C program into the Kflop.
So I have 4 axes, XZAB, step/Dir to KFLOP, at J7, in pins A 15,16 B 17,18 X 19,20 Z 21,22.
I have pointed Mach3 to...
Hey Fellas,
So I've build a proprietary cnc, with a X, Z, A, and B axis and I'm trying to have Mach3 id my axes correctly. Right now it's just seeing xyza, but I'm hoping I can get my CAD sofware...
I've chosen some arbitrary pins on J4, the general i/o pins to turn on the spindle, air and maybe a tool offsetter. I'm using s solid state relay able to swich at 3 volts.
How do I pick which...
Right, So I already have the relays. I just need to know now to implement the code with the pins.
So the spindle just needs a switch to close, same thing with the air solenoid relay. I just need to know how to wire the pins to the fkop, find the code and implement it into the board.
Thanks
